Has anyone participated in the Wynn/ Encore promotion - Lucky 8 drawing - care to share what it entailed or what it was like?

I know it was a June promotion that they extended throughout July....

    TIA,
    BnV:peace:

We participated last trip, mid-June. No big deal - you swipe your card and the machine spits out tickets, just like a Quick-Pick for a lottery. Then you stand around when they announce the winning numbers and dig through all your tickets to find out you didn't win anything. Then you do it again the next day.

Prizes are split, so odds are if you hit the big win of the day so did several other people. Worth going over for the drawing but not worth making a trip to the casino for, even if you are staying nearby.

We had the same experience and would offer the same advice. I saw a few people win so someone does once in a while. It's kind of a cluster **** the way you have to check all the numbers, but the whole idea IMO is to make a big production out of it to get the attention of passers by so they'll think "hey, what's going on...we should be playing here too".

I figured so much. With a lot of these "promotions" they seem to be a waste of time. If I'm staying and playing there anyway however, I might as well check it out - will prolong me losing my money on the slots if I have to take a break for this!

Yep. We do this when staying and playing too.

Good luck to you on your trip, btw.

DH and I played in this drawing 7 times in June and July. We each hit 5 numbers in June for about $125 in free credit each as we shared with many other people the $1000 in free credit.

We just got back from a 3 night stay at Wynn and......drum roll please......I actually hit 6 of the 8 numbers on Friday night!!!!! Wooohoooo!!!!! The prize money from Thursday night rolled over into Friday, so Friday's drawing was for $10,000. Another person also had 6 numbers, so we split the $10,000 in free credit. I hugged both of the red card ladies when I showed them my winning ticket! Let me tell you that it was a lot of fun playing on Mr. Wynn's money for a couple of hours on Friday night! :)

I'll post a photo of my red card display so you can see the $5000 in free play!

And for a crazy perspective, I say if you are there, play away. Back in 2004, I believe it was, the Palms was doing a similar promotion, giving away 3 cruises a day for a week. Luckily, no tickets though, they just drew your club number, posted it at 7pm and you had certain time to collect. By happenstance, I was there for entire week and hitting VP pretty hard. I won 3 different Carnival cruises, 3 day, 5 day and a 7 day.

When I won the 3rd one, one of the promotions folks recognized me and had to call legal department to make sure it was okay. I actually talked with one of them and he said it was legal but freaking amazing luck that it happened.

So I definitely follow the rule, If you are there, enter, what can it hurt!!!

I returned from my trip about a week ago and was going to post but figured no one cared - but.....I played and....WON!
I know, crazy. Only thing is, it was the last night of the drawing 7/31 and there was a first place winner (not me) and 16, yes 16 second place winners. You know what $1,000 FP split between 16 people is - doesn't matter because they said they had some rule that stated the minimum payout was $100 FP - so that's what I got. I was super happy, probably too happy, but I was excited to finally win one of those stupid contests! :)
