    My Trip Report

Hello ladies and gentlemen may I present to you:

clueless' first ever trip report on VMB or any board for that matter. Please bare with me as my grammar isn't nobel prize winning and my memory is like Dora from Finding Nemo.

So this weekend I am in town for my friends Bachelor party. You can bet plenty of debauchery to ensue but I may or may not talk about it :wink2:. I wasn't sure if I could do Vegas this weekend as my work has been pretty tight on vacation but in the end it all worked out. I found out Thursday that my vacation has been approved and thank the gods. Time to book a room...

My first gamble before even getting here was booking a room on Priceline and lucky me, I got the Wynn! (If you aren't familiar with PL, basically you bid for a room at unknown hotel and see what you get). So far I'm off to a good start since this is one of the resorts I've always wanted to stay at.

    To be continued...

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the room on PL?

    Wow!

Way to go with getting Wynn on Priceline. Hope the rest of your trip was also profitable.

$160/night was my bid. Rack rate was about ~300.

    Day 1...

After a short 3.5 hour drive, I see the familiar skyline of Las Vegas as I round the last corner on highway 15 at approximately 3:30PM. I exit Spring Mountain road and head to Chinatown for a quick bite. Sam Woo has always been my goto comfort food spot when Im craving Chinese food. I order Wonton noodle soup and 1/2 roast duck. I stuff myself full and leave a happy camper.

After dinner I checked myself into the Wynn and walk around the casino a bit to get familiarized. Gotta say that this is one of the nicest hotels I've been to thus far. Theres a lot of small details that really make this a nice hotel. I used to think Palazzo was nice but the real details such as decor and color scheme make it much better.

Checked in and got a room facing the east side of the strip. No complaints here as it gives me a view of the golf course. I'm somewhat of an airplane aficionado so it was a real treat to watch airplanes fly northward and bank a hard left into McCarrann and land on runway 19R.

Itchin to gamble, I hit up the craps table for a few hours. I have nothing good to say other then I'm already $850 down for the night. Bummer. Its about 8PM now so I head over to the Cosmopolitan to meet up with the rest of the fellas and get ready to go clubbing at Marquee.

Ahh... just soaked myself in the hot tub for about 30 mins and I feel great now. not sure if it was the really hot water (I love taking scalding hot showers) or the booze. Pretty sure it was the booze... so back to where I was... night 1 I believe.

So I head over to the Comso and meet up with the fellas and pre party it up a bit. I have to say, the Cosmo wrap around suit has one of the best, if not the best view in Vegas. Unfortunately it was super chilly that night so I didn't spend too much time on the balcony. Tonight's agenda: Marquee night Club!

I've never been much a clubbing type of guy but since it was a special occasion, why not??? I've always been a big fan of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and to hear that Ferry Corsten was the headlining DJ tonight made it much better. Tons of fun was had although the night was such a blur courtesy of Grey Goose and Hennessy.

Left Cosmo around 3:30AM and the taxi line was ridiculously long. Ugh.

    Day 1 total:
    -$850
