I've already booked an offer for 2 nights at Orleans. We're staying 4 nights, so I'm paying for 2 (less than $100)

Now, I've gotten an offer for 2 nights at Gold Coast.

I haven't stayed in a Gold Coast room for about 10 years. When I did, the only thing I found lacking was an air conditioner and the room was very stuffy. Would you switch? The rooms look to have been remodeled online.

We will gamble at both places since we like them both, I'm just not sure if it's worth it to switch rooms.

    What would you do?

Do resort fees get charged on comped rooms? I've thought about keeping both so we can go up to the room and relax for a while if we want vs traveling back and forth between the two hotels late at night.

The Gold Coast rooms have definitely been renovated in the last few years. We prefer the casino to Orleans.

I'd take the free rooms. (I am cheap)

Orleans does not charge resort fees on comped rooms. One time it did show up on the bill but I went downstairs to the front desk and they took care of it. I'm interested in the Gold Coast rooms too, I'll be there next weekend and I'll give you my two cents (hopefully I have two cents left!)

I liked the GC rooms. They are pretty nice. I wonder if they are allowed to match offers, though?

You'd better check to make sure that they allow back to back comp room offers

Since it's 2 different hotels, I didn't think it would matter? I will call them tomorrow and ask though.

Don't sweat it...we did back to back gold coast then Orleans last trip, 2 nights at each, no sweat.
The rooms at GC and Orleans are quite similar...they have renovated rooms at GC, just make sure you get a "deluxe" rooms vs. a "superior". We had a superior room last trip and it was OK, but this weekend we had a deluxe, and it was much better...just weird...no door on the shower (and its not a tub/shower combo, its JUST a shower)
We are the same as above...we stay where its free, lol, and we prefer the vibe of Orleans over GC.

I stayed in a renovated room at GC last year, room was OK, pretty standard stuff, only thing lacking was a safe in the room.

Not only would I move, but I have ... more than once! The GC rooms are quite nice, you can take the free shuttle, and check-in hardly takes but several minutes. Why not?
