We are staying at Excalibur, and our flight doesn't leave until late at night.
Will the hotel keep our luggage after we check out so we don't have to cart it around?
Not sure what to do for 8 hours if we have all of our luggage :(

Yes, the bell desk will hold your luggage for you for that long.

Do it all the time! We often have flights out at 6pm or so & no problem leaving bags with bell desk until leave for the airport.

We almost always have late flights as well, so we always check our luggage on the day of departure and then pick it up when we are done.

Of note: it doesn't matter if you are or were a guest, you can do this at other hotels as well for free... so if you want to spend some time at Excalibur for an hour or two and then go somewhere else you can just take your luggage and go to wherever you want and then check your bags there.

If you try carting it around, security may give you a hard time. Had issues in A/C before - not sure if Vegas security is as bad. Particularly with comped rooms, we find it quite useful to get the room for the night we leave if we leave late.

Most any hotel will hold your luggage. You're not tied to Excalibur.

We've done this often. We like to take a late flight home, so we checkout and leave our bags at the bell desk until it's time to go to the airport. Never a problem.

We've even left our luggage at the bell desk for several days while we went galavanting to far off places. Just made sure we told them that we would be gone and gave the guy a tip. We've done this at several hotels with no problem.

Wow didn't know that was an option!

I always take the redeye home and have had no issues leaving my bags at the bell desk for the day. I've even left the bags at a hotel I wasn't staying at if it was more convenient.

Dude, slip the bell hop $20 and tell them to hold onto your stuff for you and go drink and gamble until 2 hours before your flight. At that point pick up your luggage, jump in a cab, and b-line out of there for McCarran airport.
