I think AP is primed to win the triple crown, breaking a 37 year drought. I hope he does it, IMO the only horse that can beat him is Frosted.

What do you think, who are you putting you $$$$$$ on?

Just seems like every other year now the horse that wins the Derby also wins the Preakness... then there is a bunch of oohing and aahing about how this is going to be the year.

Last year the owners of California Chrome were one-time wonders, quite frankly they were cocky and arrogant and nobody in the horse racing industry wanted the new kids on the block to win. This year is much different, owners and trainers alike have earned respect in the industry - no one will begrudge them if they win.

Honestly, I think he has the exact same chance as any other horse who has been in this position in the past. No better, no worse.
3-5 odds mean nothing at the Big Sandy. Every horse who has won the first two legs of the triple crown in the past few years has looked so much better than the other horses, only to be done in by a mile and half on a deep, tiring track, against fresh horses.
I rate his chances at no better than 50-50. So much depends on the strategy that the other jockey's use and AP himself. There are no sure things in horse racing.
It would be nice to see him get it done.

i think you are spot on in your assessment... Frosted has been kicking the walls down this past week... but i hope AP does it for the good of the game.

the game isn't going to be saved if he wins and since I'm just a spectator because of his connections I will not be shedding any tears if he loses
