I'm treating one of my best friends to a Vegas trip for Memorial Day. I love the Luxor casino, and prefer to play there, but have they added wifi to their rooms? We're both bringing our iPads and we need wifi when we are there.

I know Mandalay has wifi in their rooms, and I guess we can access it with our iPads.

I've got decent comp offers at both places, but I'll do most of my gambling at Luxor since I love their high limit room. I like to bet on sports at Mandalay and love their sports book. I'll play their, ugh, 8-5, video poker while watching games.

Its been a while since we stayed at Luxor (about 5 years) so can't help with what they do and don't have... but just wanted to suggest that if you need WiFi and aren't sure what they offer you can always pack along a wireless router and set it up when you get there.

For something like this you aren't going to need some super high end router, you can probably buy a cheap no-name wireless router for around $10-12. Just set it up at home (security, password, settings, etc) and then when you get to Vegas you should just need to plug it in (most of today's routers have built in web browsers for if you need to log in to some kind of page to type in your room number or something).

I stayed at Luxor in October. They did not have in room wifi then so unless something has changed in the last 6 months, they just have a wired connection.

I was at the Luxor this past week and they are installing wifi according to our host and she said it was supposed to be working from the 17th floor up but I never thought to try it out. Maybe phone and ask, you may get a timeline upon completion. The high limit room is being remodeled at the moment too; looks like the slots are being moved to where the tables were and the tables to the back.

Was just at the Luxor 2 weeks ago, stayed in the pyramid 9th floor room, and NO wifi. Only wired internet for your laptop or a wifi router if you care to bring one.

Payed the resort fee, got no wifi and no newspaper either. But I did get my 2 'free' drinks. :poke:

Yes, I was at Luxor a few weeks ago in a tower room and they had wifi, I used it in my room. Maybe it's just the tower rooms then?

Well, I know I can easily get a tower room at Luxor. Maybe I'll book Luxor, ask for a room with the wifi, but stick a router in my suitcase as a back up.

As far as the renovations to the HL room, are they keeping that $2 9/6 Jacks or better machine?

I was there at the end of March. The wireless network came up for me but when I connected it was so slow it couldn't even load the page to accept the terms and conditions. WiFi at Mandalay works good though and they even have free wifi throughout the casino as well now and also throughout the casinos at MGM, Aria, Bellagio, and Mirage.
