Wife decided to take cab to vacation home in centenial hills area. Unfortunately she didn't have confidence and tell driver
exactly which route to take. He needed to take I-15 to 95 north past Sante Fe casino. Instead he took the tunnel and I-215
around the city. Which is considerable more miles. I will take this route sometimes if the spaghetti bowl is locked tight but at
6 PM on a sunday this is not a concern. Her fare was $105 which for some reason she still tipped $15 for $120 total. When
I have taken a cab from home to the airport the fee was slighly over $60 plus generous tip at $80 total. Unfortunately she
didn't get his name but I hope it is on the receipt as I want to turn him in.

He wasn't happy to begin with to get this fare as they prefer to stay close to the strip and really don't like long fares.

Unfortunatelu Uber is not allowed to pick up at airport yet. Cab companies have stopped this so far. Hope that gets
changed as I am sure many Uber drivers would gladly like a $100 fare.

I got long-hauled once when I wasn't paying attention and didn't tell the cab driver the route to take. Oh, well - it's never happened to me since because I learned from that experience.

Uber is stopping themselves by not doing all of the paperwork they need to have their drivers work the airport.. Lyft is already allowed to do pick ups and drop offs at the airport.

Have you checked what Lyft would have cost? Another thread had an Ap that allows you to calculate fare estimate.
