Im not a slot junkie, VP is more my game, but I see a LOT of people who tell me to play cleo and telling me to try my luck with it. Ive played it before and I don't really understand the draw,

why do so many people like it?
what makes it better than other slot machines?
Is the house edge lower on it?

Kinda wondering the same thing, tried it once recently at my local and dropped a bill real quick and never hit a bonus.

Very high volatility is why can pay huge. Hell we saw a machine pay $6500 on a $10 bet at aria on quarters
Here is an extreme example I saw $200 bet and this was the bonus payoff[IMG]

    $20 bet[IMG]

Its the thrill of the chance of a huge win with a small to medium size bet

    Same idea behind roulette IMO

I've never played Cleo 2 but as a 28 year old now, I grew up playing the original when I was 19-20. I still love it. The sound of those pharaohs brings me such joy

To add to what I said earlier, i currently play $2-4 a spin on most slots. But there is a 20 line $1 cleo machine at flamingo I always do 5-10 $20 spins on every trip. I figure if I hit the pharaohs once it'll probably pay for a good chunk of my trip. If I don't at least I had fun with it

Where is this machine located at the Flamingo? I'll have to give her a spin or two when we are there.

220x payout isn't a great example. There have been several 15k payouts on $20 wagers with Cleo 2. Not to knock a 44k jackpot, but that's not indicative of high volatility.

If you hit 5 of the scatters on the $1 machine, your minimum payout is $52k. I believe there was one member on here who hit the 5 at a $2 unit and won over $120k. Not bad for a $40 bet.

Jeez, I hit this at the Cromwell and thought it was good but after hearing about 5 on these other machines... This is an old Cleo 1 machine though.

Yeah. That would've been awesome on a Cleo 2. I think that would've been at least $7800 on a $3 bet if I'm doing the math correctly.

Yeah, it paid $300 for the scatter and $82 on the spins. I'll still take it though. Profit is a profit (only put $100 in). $7800 would have been much better...

Good machine but doesn't have that multiplied bonus spins which makes a big difference. It's right next to the drink station as well so outstanding service.
