Don't get me wrong, I'm not all about the freebies or anything like that. Vegas is a place I love to visit and I have no problem spending cash there. But I've been wondering, aside from Big Elvis, there doesn't seem to be any free lounge acts, which seems odd to me. The Volcano, The Fountains, The Gardens, the old TI Show, The Lake of Dreams, the Gondaliers, the wildlife habitat, Midway these are all freebies that take people away from the casino. With Big Elvis he's in a bar inside the Harrah's, but you have to go inside to watch his free show. Once inside most people at the very least buy a drink at the bar, or people like my parents spend 3-4 days going in and playing the slots closest to the bar so they could still hear his show. Some of the free acts I mentioned above do make you walk into the building to see them, but most of them are set on a path where you don't even have to walk through the actual casino part. I would just think that maybe a free comedy show or musical act close enough to the slots where players can listen, or at least have to walk through the casino and sit down and have a few drinks or whatever, may be more beneficial to the casino. Do you agree? And am I wrong, are there any free lounge type acts that I just don't know about?
