It just occurred to me, as I was sitting here with a can of soda wrapped in a koozie from the Great Smoky Mountains, that I have never seen casino-specific koozies in any of the hotel gift shops.

    Why not?

And don't say "Because they are too tacky." This is Vegas. We all know better. :D

Don't know, but for a special celebration I had with 35 friends a few years back, I made my own!

I know not a specific casino, but I bought a ton of these in that souvenir shop on the strip that has the helicopter hanging inside of it. Make great gifts, no guy would ever complain about a naked lady koozie:

Yes, they are still used. You have to have something to protect your drink on the beach. :) Or you have a warm or watered down drink, and no one wants that!

We just went shopping for koozies and they are hard to find locally also.

Not sure that the naked koozies would work in our area. Its a little conservative, even though its one of two beaches that allow alcohol in the county, we get stares from some families. The same stares that the t-back wearing foreigners get.

Not hotel specific, but there are scads in the gift shops.

I can't picture the snotheads at Wynncore selling koozies!:drunk:

Yeah, but what about Sam's Town? Or South Point? You'd think their crowd would gobble those things up, but no. We are left casino-koozie-less.

Definitely a void in marketing. Some 25 year old MBA will get hold of this and be selling $10 Mirage koozies before you know it.:drunk:

    I bring mine

I always bring my own koozie. It's "Duff Beer" koozie (from the Simpsons). Funny thing is after a day or two at any casino, due to the koozie most bar staff and waitresses remember me and treat me very well.

I remember getting a few from the Rio in "96. Actually they were handouts from the rewards center. I have also seen some from Harrahs also. Nothing of recent times though. They were thin and cheap quality.

Thanks. I thought it would be more interesting than the equivalent to a tea cosy.

Nope, they aren't that interesting. They are fairly cheap and work quite well though.

    their crowd? really?

I resemble that comment! I will be staying at both of those places and Orleans over the next two weeks.

I'm guessing the sale of koozies depresses drink sales at hotel/casinos, particularly near the pools, where they hope customers drink quickly and often to combat the heat.
