going on a guys trip w heavily discounted room at Mirage in two weeks, but plan to play some poker at PH and gamble at Cosmo one night so using a CET comp for this night.

Offer is for Resort room (more square feet) but no view, Hip Room strip view, Hip room fountain view, or ultra hip room premium fountain view. Thoughts??

Ultra Hip Room for sure! It has a much more modern and updated look. Think all white everything. I love it.

The resort room without a view is just a larger room. I stayed in one with a view a couple of weeks ago, but didn't find it that great except it did come with a coffee maker.

We're staying @ PH in November. Haven't stayed there for a couple of years. Didn't even know there was a choice in rooms. We always ask for a high floor, but get what they give us. I've tipped at check-in a couple times at different venues but each time I interpret the look as "cheap [email protected], that's all you are going to give me"!!!

    $20 with a gentle request....worried it's not enough.

That usually works for me.. I've been upgraded about 50% of my stays at PH with a $20 tip.
