Stayed at the Mirage once in a Resort (?) Queen Room (West Wing, 19th floor). The view was pretty good, part pool-view and part strip-view to the south.

If doing the $20 trick, ask if they can get you a tower king room facing the pool. That's the best view. The tower king rooms are a nice upgrade to the standard rooms giving you a separate shower, double sinks and 2 elevators for just the 24&25th floor.

Just came back last night, miss it already.

I've stayed in the 1 bedroom tower suite, which is the same layout as the penthouse. The penthouse just has different furniture and possibly a higher ceiling. That said, the tower suite is very nice, but I dislike Mirage due to the long walk from the parking garage to the guest elevators. Valet cuts that distance by about a 1/3, but it's still quite a bit of a walk.

I'm 99% positive that all of the tower deluxe rooms are kings. If you want 2 queens I'd ask for a high floor on the west wing facing south. 2 queens should be easy to get, most people want kings.

Personally I'm a fan of a volcano view on a high floor. :peace:

That is a good view but depending on what time you go to bed or if you like an evening nap before going out late, the volcano noise can get pretty obnoxious. I think they start at dusk and it blows until midnight or 1am.
