I keep reading mixed reviews of MGM, and from some of the pictures I've seen on Trip Advisor, I haven't been impressed. I booked a queen executive suite (seperate shower and tub), and everyone says the MGM is really nice but it doesn't look that nice to me (hence my looking into the Signature). I am checking in early Wednesday morning (9/26) and hope they have this suite available for me. What has your experience been with the consitancy of the quality of the room? I'm only asking this because I'm going to wait until Aug to make my final decision about whether to stay at MGM or Signature depending on the one room/two bath/balcony availability. Now mind you, I think I'm planning more for this 4 day trip than I did for my own wedding, but I really want it to be right.

Thanks! And, as always, don't tell my husband! :ssst: He keeps threatening that he's going to fly in and surprise me...he better not;)

I am not a fan of the MGM, I think their prices are too high and their rooms are dated. I did just see that they have a section of remodeled rooms, not sure how far that goes though. It looks like they may have renamed some of the rooms, Petite King looks like the West Wing room I stayed in that was terrible and had a window facing a brick wall, the other rooms look like the Celebrity Suite I stayed in with new furniture but I don't see one with a hot tub so I am not sure. It has been many years since I stayed there simple because I don't like the hotel itself. Large layout like a maze and it just seems like a dated product.

Any reviews on the new rooms from people here would be good, but I would go straight to the Signature or another hotel.

the first poster's review is dated. sure a couple of years ago that was the case, but by the fall the remodel will be mostly finished and the remodeled rooms are on par or better than most anything out there except for the 5-star hotels. there's a lot of walking to the Signature. before the remodel, maybe that was worth it, but at this point i don't think there's a reason.

Part of what is good about signature is if you want the long walk. Especially if you are in Vegas for awhile,it's nice to get away.

I beg to differ on the MGM! I stay there on a regular basis and I've never had a bad stay! The casino may be a maze to some as it's huge, however there are clear over-head signs leading you in every direction, I love that there are tons of different slots from which to choose from as well. Although the signature is nice I much rather prefer convenience, jmo
