I'm going to vegas with two teenagers in june.
I have three nights free at Mlife hotels:
    -MGM Grand
    -Mandalay Bay
    -mirage
    -Monte Carlo
    -new york, new york
    -excalibur
I'd like a place with as little smoke as possible, and near a mall mostly for cheap food.
A good pool would be nice but it may be too hot for it.
    Please help me choose.
    Thank you

I have stayed at Mirage and Aria, both are very nice. Aria (if thats an option) is amazing. If you stay at Mirage go to California Pizza Kitchen and get a BBQ chicken pizza!

Mandalay Bay for the pool. Out of all the MGM hotels I see the most kids at Mandalay Bay.

I've stayed at all of your choices, and my order for your situation would be Mandalay, Mirage, Monte Carlo, NY NY, and Excal

I would scratch NYNY and Excal off the lists.

Mandalay is nice for the pool, but if you plan on casino hopping/walking, then it's a trek down there.

The Mirage has a nice classic pool complex, and I think Monte Carlo's is decent as well - lazy river, wave pool, I've seen lots of kiddies there. MC also has a food court with some cheap food options. MGM is nice, but the size/layout can get old especially if the room is far away.

I highly recommend Mandalay Bay for families for the following reasons:
    1. Easy access from the registration desk to the elevators - avoiding the casino floor.
    2. Shark reef aquarium.
    3. Pool
    4. Food court away from the casino floor
    5. Teenagers may enjoy the the Micheal Jackson One show.
    6. Far from the madding strip crowd.

McDonalds is across the street. Some of the restaurants in the attached mall are moderately priced.

I love MBay. I stayed there the first week it was open. I like the casino layout, food options, pool. And because it's at the very end of the strip it is a lot less crowded than most of the other strip properties.

Mandalay Bay is my choice as well. The pool is a no-brainer. There is a food court of sorts there but it is a hike as it is next to the Convention Center and easy to miss. There are a number of restaurants in Mandalay Bay and Mandalay Place (The attached mall) but I would say the best bets for cheap food would be at the Luxor or Excalibur, a short walk or tram ride away. MB can seem a bit, shall we say, quiet sometimes as it doesn't get the foot traffic of a lot of the other Strip resorts so keep that in mind. That being said, the lack of crowds, along with the high ceilings and spacious casino floor makes it one of the least smoky casinos I can recall.

I also say Mandalay Bay. You can also buy Restaurant.com certificates for Slice of Vegas and Hussong's Cantina that are in the Mandalay Bay Shoppes for some cheap eats.

And just to add, Mandalay Bay has free Trams, one to Luxor and Excalbur, then a quick walk over the bridge (above Tropicana Blvd) to NYNY and catch the second free Tram next door at Monte Carlo, which takes you from MC up to Bellagio.
I also want to remind you (i noticed this will be your first trip to Vegas), to be sure to walk on Las Vegas Blvd to take pics/videos in front of MB and Luxor. Waterfalls, Polynesian statues, the Sphinx, Obelisk, the Pyramid, etc. One of the reasons why i love MB are the property grounds, it's gorgeous.

Actually I've been to vegas before. Stayed at Aria and venetian but Mandalay looks good for us.
Can anyone recommend some places to eat that are similar to earl of sandwich, chipotle?
Or casual sit down restaurants. Maybe a good sandwich or burger n fries for about $15?
I want casual, inexpensive, relatively healthy food.

I think the Mandalay Bay complex has something like 28 or 30 restaurants. You will have some choices!

I had some good sushi at the sushi bar near the main cage.
Although the price point is higher than what you were seeking, I highly recommend the brunch at Border Grill. We had it last fall and it was fantastic.
