looking to get a cabana at the MGM pools this April but have never been to the pool before. I have heard the lazy river is the place to be but where is the best cabana in the complex?

We are looking for a mix of fun but to not be sandwiched inbetween too many people.

Have heard Directors pool (adults only), cabanas around the lazy river and cabanas closest to Wet Republic. For those that have been there...what do you think?

You're going to have get off the fence and decide what you want. The more fun an area is, the more crowded it gets. The best part of the cabana is it's your private oasis from the unwashed masses. The lazy river is fun. It gets crowded and bit rowdy. The Director's pool can be quiet and that's a bit boring to me. It all depends on who all else is at the pool when you're there.

I think I've been in #8 before, along with #9 & #13. 9-14 in the back offer a little more shade and I thought deflected the Wet Republic music somewhat

I've done Cabana #12, and it's phenomenal, but I'm told that #9-13 are usually not available to the general public, at least not in advance.

I was in 12 as well. Pretty sure those are comps only.

same here - had 12 in October. But just to be clear, all the cabanas are the same other than location.

    Edit: Sorry, it was 14:

the one thing I don't like is that 9-14 get morning shade, but afternoon sun.

in the summer, I much prefer morning sun and afternoon shade when it heats up.
