I am specifically wondering about the Fremont.
I received an offer of some free nights there, but want to know if they are really "free".
    Thanks!

Fremont Hotel & Casino does not charge a resort fee. Main Street Station, The California, and Four Queens are the other downtown casinos that do not charge resort fees.
I suppose some might say that Golden Nugget doesn't charge a resort fee either, but I think it's fair to call their "Fremont Experience Fee" a resort fee.

Downtown Grand charges $11 per night if it is not a comp. As posted, 4Q and none of the downtown Boyd properties charge a fee.

Give Suncoast another try. 4 comped nights.

The fee is $5 per night, shouldn't affect decision to stay at the Nugget or not.

Maybe, but that was not the question posed by the OP.
