I am taking 3 high school buddies back to Vegas during March madness, Back in the early 90's we played a Sigma Derby when impaired, and have a classic photo of the time(pretty sure we did this illegally, but only got warned). We want to reincarnate the magic, and need to know where one can be found these days? Anyone noticed these around, if so where? Thanks,

    It's down to two casinos:

    1) The D located downtown (formerly known as Fitzgerald's), Sigma Derby machine is on the second floor

    2) The MGM Grand

Both machines still take-- and pay out-- quarters.

It's my understanding that these machines are difficult to maintain (skill and spare parts) and compared to other casino games, aren't very profitable. Hence the very few of them still around.

    Have fun.

At MGM Grand, it's in the far far corner of the casino away from the front desk, tucked in between some slots by the entrance to the buffet.

if you were warned about photos i wouldn't worry about it this time. we take them and make videos of the races as well on cell phone for replay at home. You can only do it once without knowing the outcome but friends like to relive the race with posted odds etc. no one has asked us / warned us about photography at mgm....not sure of d

We play the Sigma Derby at The D all the time and take lots of photos and videos. In fact, there's a casino-sponsored Facebook-linked photo booth pointed right at the Sigma Derby machine.

Kind of tangential to this thread, but there were TWO in operation at Montbleau Casino in Lake Tahoe last time I was there two years ago. I presume they are still there.
