Planet Hollywood. No matter which way we go we always end up in the Miracle Mile shops by the timeshare hawkers!!

Luxor, I stayed there for a week a few years ago, and on the last day still had trouble finding the right elevators to my room. It all looks the same. Wouldn't stay there again.

I am a las vegas pro and have been to vegas many any times.........but i couldn't find my way around caesers palace if my life depended on it. I know every strip casino like the back of my hand but caesers is my kryptonite.

Wynn/Encore are it for me now but that is just because I rarely get down there.

There are many places in each casino though that I'd have no clue on how to get to though. The spa at most for example I'd have no clue. I'm pretty comfortable with the gambling floor of all of them now though.

I'd never call it lost, but the only ones I ever get confused at now are the squareish floors where I'm not really sure which way is out just at a glance. Luxor, Excalibur and Venetian come to mind as to not knowing which of the 4 ways is out. But again, I'd never call this getting lost, I just get to wander for a bit. :)

regarding MGM: One of my favorite Vegas shortcuts is to head toward the back of the casino from the NYNY escalator via the hallway that runs between the West Wing Bar and Knob Hill. Routed a friend that way on a recent trip, then split up. By the time I finally found him again, I'm not sure he was my friend anymore.

TI gets my vote. Though not the biggest by any means I always get turned around in that place.

In my last visit at the end of May I think I have finally nailed Caesers and seem to get in and out without getting lost, however I did get lost in Luxor.
I went to watch the England Ireland game in Ri Ra and went through Excaliber and Luxor to get there, going was no probs coming back I couldnt find my way out of Luxor to get back to Excaliber, walked round a few times before I found my way back.
You may think alcohol could of had an effect of my directions but I did the same thing on another day when I was in Luxor and was sober, and I got that fed up I just went to one of the bars and had a couple of drinks.

Aria is shaped like a crescent. It's nearly impossible to be lost anywhere on the ground floor.

It could be that I'm good with directions, landmarks, etc, but since I've had a chance to walk each casino once or twice they all seem really simple to me. The one place I haven't really explored is beyond the casino floor in MGM.

My first trip (I was 19) I left my group at PH and wandered over to Bellagio to catch some New Years bowl games in the sports book. I'd never been inside the B and it took me a good 15 minutes to find the sports book. I apparently didn't stay on the outer path and/or realize that it's just a big circle.

Actually, on this last trip, I got turned around and had a hard time finding the Strip exit at Monte Carlo. :( First time that ever happened!

    And the winner is!!

I went through and added up the number of mentions of each casino. Obviously the biggest layouts got a lot of votes, but here's the results. Caesars gets a big thumbs up on confusing design:

    40 Caesars
    19 Planet Hollywood
    18 MGM
    13 Venetian
    7 Palazzo
    5 Aria
    4 Mandalay Bay
    3 Excalibur
    3 Luxor
    2 Encore
    2 New York New York
    2 Wynn
    1 Bellagio
    1 Golden Gate
    1 Green Valley Ranch
    1 Mermaids
    1 Monte Carlo
    1 Red Rock
    1 Riviera
    1 Treasure Island

Thanks for the vote count....I was actually thinking of doing this the other day when I was bored. Surprised to see PH at #2; I've only been thru in passing but it doesn't seem very big. I'll be staying there for the first time in July, better pack the GPS! :evillaugh

For the casino part of Caesars, I find it very straightforward, kind of a curvy path from the registration area down to the Forum Shops.

However, I do admit that the area by the non-Forum shops and Cleopatra's Barge and such is a real rat-maze!
