Going to Harrah's from airport late 1130-midnite. Would like to stop for some necessities before the hotel. I know of the gas stations and 7-11 but is there something else?

There is a ABC store inside a strip mall just as you after turning off of Swenson onto Tropicana Ave. It is on the right hand side. We asked the taxi driver to stop and we were in and out within 4 minutes.

wich will cost alot more in waiting time than walking down the street to walgreens, there are walgreens and cvs all over the strip now getting stuff is so easy

Four minutes will cost only $2 in taxi wait time...

Also having the taxi stop is a lot more convenient:
    - taxi stop at store
    - you buy your stuff and take it out to the cab
    - get to the hotel, call over bell staff
    - bellman loads all your luggage and supplies up on a cart
    - check in, phone down, have your stuff delivered to the room
    - then go down and enjoy yourself in the casino

    Versus instead:
    - taxi to hotel
    - check in to your room
    - drop your luggage off in room
    - go down to casino, out to The Strip and down to the Walgreens at Venetian/Palazzo
    - buy your stuff
    - haul it all the way back to Harrah's, up to your room
    - then go down and enjoy yourself in the casino

If buying a lot of stuff (a flat of water, a couple of other drink items, some snacks) it can be a lot to have to haul it all the way from Walgreens back to the room (weight, cumbersome, hard to carry shapes/sizes) plus the extra time is probably going to suck up an hour of vacation time versus maybe 15 minutes waiting for the bellman to bring your stuff up... all to save $2-5...

My new go-to place for water & beer is the convenience store next door to the In & Out on Blue Diamond. Beer was pretty close to Walmart prices and I believe that water wasn't badly priced either. Plus I can fill up at In & Out beforehand when I get into town late.

If I,m staying at Orleans or GC for my 1st few days, they both have liquor stores on property with very good prices, other wise I,ll use CVS as previously mentioned.
