Wondering if anyone knows of a good liquor store on the strip that carries nicer wines. ABC/Walgreens etc don't seem to carry the higher end stuff.

I can't attest to the specifics of Lee's Liquor on the Strip, but we've picked up very drinkable stuff at other Lee's in southern Nevada.

The Cosmo has a store on the 2nd floor called EatDrink that carries some high end wines, but don't expect a bargain.

    Seconded.

Also, I believe that you can get a delivery from vons.com if that suits your needs.

If you're looking for a really nice bottle, you're better off and physically going to Total Wine. Not sure what your preference or budget is here.

Let me know what kind you want and I will deliver it for the off strip price plus 20.
It will still be cheaper than if you buy it on strip. I will even deliver the receipt. I wonder if I can
    make an underground business?

Also I forgot to add that most wines and liquors are 20 percent off if you buy 4 or 6 bottles depending on store policy
So if you want to take some home you can really get a decent deal. FYI The delivery deal is real. Let me know. Thanks

Sounds a lot like these guys: http://www.anythinguwantdelivery.com/

Not sure if they are reputable though.

I saw them and wondered... good reviews on one site I saw, but could have been all their buddies.

On the Strip, Lee's may be your only good choice. Or take a chance on a delivery service.

If I had a car in Vegas, and was a member, I'd try the Costco near downtown. Selection of better wines at a typical Costco is very limited, but prices are good. Second choice would be Total Wine, with no membership requirement and a huge inventory. Neither of these offers much wine buying atmosphere or expert assistance, although you do get plenty of unwanted advice at Total Wine.

The Costco in downtown is a business center version. I don't recall them having fine wines at that location.

Oh, thanks for the heads-up on that. I wasn't aware Costco had that configuration. It seems there are only a few of them nationwide, with nothing at all in my part of the country. I'll have to check one out when I'm out West.

In that case, it's a bit more of a drive to a regular Costco store.
