I love hearing new ones, and recently I was playing blackjack at Paris and a guy called his 17 "The Mother-in-law" because you want to hit it but you know you can't. Thought that was a really good one.

Pay the line! Oh, you mean "real" ones. I do like yours. I have to remember that one. How about a "viagara eight" or ten or four (poor guy) or six?

Yeah, "Monkey!" has to take the cake. I use it all the time and I don't even play baccarat.

"Yo" is another good one. And the "hard 4/6/8/10" jokes never get old as long as you've had enough booze. But "monkey" is where it's at!

You can hit it, but you shouldn't. Are we still talking about cards?

A stickman once used "the national average" as his call for the roll. I wasn't paying attention and was like "um, what was the call?" I looked and saw the dice on hard six and got a chuckle.

"Duke". As in tip. "I duked the boys on the craps crew." Not really a gambling term but it kind of has an old school feel to it.

I played for several hours one weekend with another player who obviously enjoyed the game and would exclaim 'Better than blackjack' every time he won a double down.

I was playing mini-bac once, and it was only me and a young African American male...needed a 10-face card on the bank, so of course had to shout "MONKEY! MONKEY!"
Fortunately, he was also shouting it!

My ATF would be "HornHiYo", like that would ever translate into the "real world", but lately, I've been playing some 1-2 NL and I chuckle when someone "straddles." I just don't think poker...or, shall I say, of poker....:ssst:

Half the table yelling "FUCK YEAH!" when you've been rolling for 30 mins and make the point the hard way.

LOL pleepleus... I think the "17" should be call the Step Daughter instead. You sometimes want to hit it but KNOW you can't, shouldn't and if you do you'll be in big trouble with everyone at the table. Always safe to just Stand and know she will just take your money most of the time.

MONKEY....................... always like MONKEY when you need the 10 or facecard.
