So I am going to Gordan Ramsay's steak place next month and looking for suggestions on what to order. For appetizers I am pretty open, but nothing that incudes mushrooms. For main course, steak of course, I am debating between the filet or the rib cap. Sides, also pretty open. Dessert? I have no idea at this point. Looking for any and all opinions on this place. Thanks

    Rick

I've eaten there a few times and a great start would be the rib cap for your entree, Mac n cheese as a side, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Feel free to add apps/sides as desired.

Ribeye with foie gras. The beef Wellington is amazing as well. Sticky toffee pudding is a dynamite dessert, but share if you can.

Pork belly as an app, simply amazing, it just melts in your mouth!.............The beef wellington I had was definitely not worth the hype, it was ok but nothing I would ever want to try again......

+1 to Pork Belly & Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Have had the Kobe Filet, and the Wellington, which I thought were very good.

I've got reservations for 3/1. First time at GR Steak. Ever since I first read reviews of the Rib Cap, I have been thinking of nothing else as my entrée there. I haven't read a single review that has been negative. There is always that one person who has bad things to say about everything. But, so far nobody has weighed in with bad comments on the Rib Cap.

I'll be solo and have mixed feelings about eating at the bar or in the dining room. Any opinions on that are welcomed, btw.

This will be my only "red meat" meal during this trip. I'm looking forward to it especially since I'm using my 100.00 Diamond Celeb. certificate.

We ate at the bar and enjoyed it. My wife and I often do that - quicker service, especially for drinks. Sometimes you can chat with others if you want.

I'm a firm believer that when rib cap is an option, you order it!

Is the bar right at the entrance? I thought about eating there at the bar but it looked small and dark. I also like eating at the bar, especially if I'm solo, but it didn't look inviting.

    What cut is rib cap?

Yes, the bar is right by the entrance.

The rib cap is the fatty curtain of meat that rings the top of a ribeye. Basically, it combines the tenderness of a filet and the flavor of a ribeye.

I asked essentially the same question a year or so ago and the general consensus was to order the rib cap and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The dessert was enough for splitting between the 2 of us.
    Wow!!!! It was awesome.
We went back on the next trip and once again ordered the rib cap.

I had the rib cab and it was phenomenal. My husband ordered the filet and was not impressed. We are huge steak snobs, and I can promise you the rib cab did not disappoint (although he was upset that his steak wasn't as good as it should have been...). The sides were forgettable, as were the apps. Sticky Toffee Pudding my husband still raves about. The BEST.

I had the wellington, and the sticky toffee pudding. The wellington wasn't bad, but I'd probably get something else next time. But, that pudding... ohhh my. That's a MUST get.
