Hi guys, looking for some advice on what to spend my last LP's on for my trip to Vegas in mid June.

I have 3 nights at The Luxor via MyVegas and 1 free Monorail pass and also a bogof daily monorail pass purchased so far but have a 4th reward to pick due to spending about $30 when I first started playing the game.

I now have 42K LP's left and would think by the time I'm going I will have about 60K and am looking for suggestions.

I was interested in the Luxor/Excalibur all day buffet pass for 40K LP's but have been somewhat put off this by some of the horrible reviews I've read.

Not really interested in shows as I'm solo for first 3 days of trip.

    Any suggestions welcome.

    Cheers

    Jimmy

I went to the EX. lunch it was decent, some of the asian foods were very good quality. Not in the same league as the better Buffets, but I thought it was much better than the boyd, coast buffets. I was surprised considering the reviews. I would not pay for it though.

Just the opposite for me. Used myVegas for the 24 hour buffet. Had breakfast at Trashy Castle, then lunch and dinner over at Luxor. Sure glad I didn't pay for that thing. The best part of the buffet was the tiramisu.

Stayed at Rio a couple of weeks ago and had the breakfast buffet at Gold Coast 2 days in a row. It was fabulous and very fresh. Better than what I had experienced with the 24 hour buffet pass for sure!

Try and get some more gold and go for Fuel the Duel, even though your on your own, would make for a great night, $100 on drinks and quality music.

Just a note that your monorail passes don't count towards your 4 rewards. That limit is for MGM property based rewards only.

$20 Public House comp at the Luxor is nice. Used it last trip and food there was very good. Trying to get the 50$ MC comp will drive you crazy.

We are also going in June and will have one more reward around that number to use. I believe we are going with the Mandalay Bay breakfast buffet for two because the buffets/buffets in general on the strip can be costly and I think it might be the best value for us since we will need to spend the money to eat anyways.

Also FYI I ate at the Luxor buffet about 5 years ago. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good. It was just a regular breakfast buffet from a small town (type food) in my opinion. Nothing fancy. I don't care much about eating fancy in the morning at Vegas though, I would rather have a better dinner.

The OP already knows that! :poke:
They used 3 rewards at the Luxor and need one more for their fourth.

Pretty sure the fourth reward kicks in at $50 in chips buys unless you were playing before the changes last year.

I'd second the Monte Carlo dining credit vote or maybe go for a Mandalay bay buffet based on the good reviews here.

Thanks for all the replys guys, I think I'm going to go for the Fueling the Duel credit if I can get enough LP's between now and June or try the Monte Carlo credit if I can get in fast enough.

Haha Mark, they will be downtown while I'm wandering about myself for the first 3 days so spending $100 on bevvy at the Monte Carlo on just me sounds right up my street.
