Ok Mlife experts I need some help on what kind of marketing offers might be generated from Mlife props based on My recent play which I was NOT. Staying at any Mlife property so maybe that goes in my favor too.

I ran 1300 pts through Bellagio in one day and the next day ran 1800 pts at Aria. So 3100 total in 2 days spread at 2 nice places. Played mainly slots too with VP sprinkled in if that would make any difference.

It's been yrs since I stayed at any property and back in the good old days pre 2008 I'd get 3 free nights at MGM and the likes but nothing free at Bellagio. Hoping maybe a couple free nights might be in store for me now :)

Thanks for helping and I know this isn't an exact science just hoping for a couple Free nights at a better resort.

Are you talking about tier points? If so, I dont think 3100 in tier points would do much at aria or bellagio.

Yea isn't that the points earned? Back in the day(I know not that long ago) 2-3k points was pretty good and now the coin in is much more per point( atleast I think that's how that works now) maybe not?

If it is tier credits, then you will get nothing from Aria or Bellagio. You can get a better idea if you know your coin-in.

I think they have slot points or something. I remember putting my card in a slot machine and it told me my points (not tier credits). It says 1 point = $10 coin in (or something similar).

Tier points are accumulated by play, resort, restaurant, show spending etc.

Were you playing slots? Im not a slot player, but i dont think that really makes a difference and im sure someone else can chime in to help you with info.

But for example, my last trip i earned 235,000 tier credits and made platinum with mlife thru gaming (had to call because i thought it was wrong). I only have 2 offers thru aria but if i call my host at bellagio or aria, they will take care of me.

    Hope this is helpful.

If they are tier points, don't expect any offers.

If they are not tier points, and the slot machine reader says "Hi ___, you have x,xxx points here is how it works:

Regular slots give you 1 point for every $3 played, specialty slots (anything with a licensed name i.e. WOF, Ferris Bueller, etc.) and VP give you 1 point for every $10.

1300 points could be anywhere from ~$4,000 to $13,000 coin in
    1800 points ~$5,400 to $18,000 coin in

Assuming an 8% hold, your theoretical loss is somewhere between $832 and $2,480 for two days, of which the casino will comp you roughly 30% or $125 - $375 per day.

You may get discounted room offers with maybe a little free play or resort credit, but doubt they would offer you much more than that.

Mlife does Base Points and Tier Credits.

$3 slot coin-in or $10 Video Poker gives one Base Point. One Base Point gives 10 Tier Credits.

3,100 TC would be 310 base points. If you did mostly Slot with a little VP, probably ~ $500 coin-in/day.

    3,100 BP would be ~ $5K/day.

Either way, I don't see much coming your way. Definitely not at the Aria or Bellagio.

Good info yea doesn't sounds like I will be getting much then. I got excited when I got home and saw 3100 tier points and just thought it was the same as pts.

Unfortunately, I don't think you will see much if anything. I think it takes about 5,000 points (not tier credits) per day at Bellagio to get a basic room. Don't know what you need for Aria but it is up there.

What if I put in $75k coin-in over the course of a 3-day trip on VideoPoker ($25k per day; basically Pearl in one day, then Gold on the third day)
Free rooms at Bellagio, or MonteCarlo?

Certainly Monte Carlo and probably a nice discount at Bellagio. The MC rooms are starting to get a bit worn. I just stayed there for one night last week when my flight was canceled. It used to be my goto strip hotel. It's clean and worth the price as it's cheap most nights.

Mostly everything I know about how this works I've learned on here, I am a math guy, and the numbers are interesting to me.

$25k in at 2% hold (not sure exactly what MGM's hold for comps is on VP, could be half these amounts) = $500 theoretical loss per day at 30% of Theo comped that is $150 per day in comps. You should be able to get offers for free free rooms at MC for sure at that level, not so sure about the B.

There was a coin-in for comped rooms thread floating around here a few weeks ago, now I can't find it.

The machine "points" are different from tier credits. If you are playing penny slots or wheel of fortune or something with a very high house percentage this MIGHT generate a little something, probably not comped rooms at either place. You'll get a cheeseball email from NyNy in a few months, possibly a room comp there.

If that is VP play it will generate absolutely nothing at MGM props today. If you are talking about tier credits this play will get you nothing anywhere in the MGM universe.

MGM does not respond at all to this type of "drop in play" compared to CET.

Bellagio and Aria are looking for $60,000 coin in on VP per day for a room comp now. The play you described would probably get room comps at Monte Carlo, NYNY, and lower in MGM world.

In my experience at mgm, 30k-40k tier credits in a trip tended to get me 3-4 nights comped with not much else. 40k-50k usually got me 3-4 nights with possibly a suite and up to $250 resort credit for the trip. I would say at least 50-60% of those points are generated from slots. The rest from table and vp. Mgm is also a step down from aria and bellagio

It depends very much which game you earned the tier credits on...VP is big on tier credits, low on comps...

Ok I feel like an idiot for posting this. I thought tier points were the points like I've been accustom to seeing but sounds like I put very little on given the actual coin in and points are hardly nothing.

Thanks for the replies and I guess I don't need to be waiting around for that marketing offer after all.

You should get some nice offers from MC with that type of play. It's been my home hotel/casino for the past few years. I typically make gold in 2 trips (so roughly 35k-40k tier credits (some of those come from a couple of drinks/buckets at the pool) playing a variety of slots, VP, and table games. And I'll get 3-5 nights comped in a basic room usually with $75-$100 in FP. A couple of times per year I'll get offers for comped Mocono Suite rooms (a larger/nicer version of a regular room). I played a little higher last trip (50k) tier credits and got 3 free nights + $100 FP + $75 Resort credit which has been the most they have offered me.

They will usually send me Super Bowl and New Year's comped nights as well. So, again, you should see some nice offers from them with that kind of play.
