I just saw SLS mention this on their Facebook page.. They said in 60 days new neighbor, and I thought it was the Lucky Dragon, but apparently not..

If I understand this correctly, Starwood has taken over and remodled one of SLS's towers containing just under 300 rooms. It has been re-branded as a "W" hotel and will be operated by Starwood. The rest of the property will remain under SLS.

No casino. It appears Starwood was looking for a way to get its "W" "brand" on the strip. This allows them to do that without the need to operate their own casino. They will leave that to the SLS, who already has the casino license. The casino is a short walk from the new "W" tower. Its a Win/Win for Starwood and SLS.
