It is crazy but all the hotels seem to have moved to this stupid 11 am checkout.
That's weird, from my experience most hotels have an 11 am checkout. I'm always pleasantly surprised when I find a hotel with a 12 noon checkout.
I thought it was a new trend.
Stayed at Encore last month - had a 12 noon checkout - without asking for a late checkout.
I've come to find that it depends on the property. The ones that have the later check-in have the later check-out though. I'd rather check-out at 11 and check-in earlier. That said, you could always pay extra. Personallly, I'd never pay for early check-in / late check-out
+1. Encore is noon checkout.
Orleans and Gold Coast is noon. Fitz Tunica is noon. I think one random hotel in Cincinnati we stayed at was noon as well I think. Everything else definitely seems to be 11am in the dozens of hotels I've stayed in this decade.
Every mLife property I've stayed at is 11:00am. Check in is also at 11:00am but you can pay extra. When I was at MGM in December they had a real late check out of 6:00pm for an extra $70.00. That rate changes though based on the day/room, etc. But MGM does have an extra late check out if you're catching a later flight out and don't feel like paying the fee for the room an entire extra night.
The California's check-out time is 12 noon.
I stayed at the D last month and managed to get my checkout extended to 1pm without extra charge.
I was at the Delano a couple of weeks ago and they wanted $80 for a 2 PM checkout. It was more than what I paid for the room the night before. However I've had mixed luck there getting a late checkout without being charged.
This. I always have an early flight so have never need a later check-out. The later the checkout time is, the longer it's going to take to get into your room.
CET has a 1:00PM checkout for Platinum and above.
OH Frank @ all Harrah location Cesar Flamigo And even the Paris great to know
Vegas is about one thing, status. Now the admission bar is set low in terms of quality of accomms for price compared to most markets, but after that customer "service" runs on an ever-upward sliding scale corresponding to your ranking in the casino.
I swear Sams Town has noon checkout.
My boyfriend lags a bit in the mornings, especially at the end of a trip, and I get the sense based on my experience (pleeeeeeease don't rely on this information) that they set checkout at 11AM so most people will actually be out by noon. If it was noon, people wouldn't actually get out until 1PM, and so on.
Is there proof of this? I don't recall seeing this on the site. Would love confirmation
MGM resorts tell you 11, but it's really noon when the late fee will kick in.
I am so used to seeing 11AM no matter where I am that I pleasantly surprised to see anything later. I presume most places set their times based on how quickly they can turn over rooms for check in.
With thousands of hotel nights, I would say 11am is more the norm.
In any event, one of the biggest day to day issues in a hotel is getting rooms cleaned so you can offer them to incoming guests. Just is a major hassle.
