My initial reaction was that this is no surprise, except that there are not more lawsuits like these two. If the allegations are proven true, I hope the plaintiffs take them to the cleaners. Really despicable stuff

The allegations came out about 2 weeks ago, but i think more from a disgruntled employee. Even though i dont know the entire story i can tell you what i know. Moose is the only defendant listed by a jane doe. they sign noncompetes and none disclosures, thats why she is not suing light group. Moose has been a dj for them for years and when they started getting big name djs he became entertainment director. I can not comment on his behavior but as many of you know, vegas clubs can be soft porn.

will be interesting as case goes to court as more Light (no pun) is shed on this. Wouldnt be surprised if there is an out of court settlement on either one or both of these cases.

Signing non-competes and/or non-disclosure agreements does not prohibit you from suing your employer. It's likely that Light Group was not sued because it would be superfluous. The plaintiffs can get to the same damages suing the individual offenders employed by the company and the actual company that signs the paychecks (which isn't Light Group)

light group does write their paychecks, but most are I9.They can sue whomever they wish, but i feel the girl isnt really after the money, its more of a bonus. there is more to the story than can be discussed

Handling these exact types of cases, I know from experience that you're correct, there are often multiple motivations other than money that lead plaintiffs to file these lawsuits. But by the end, it is the monetary bottom line that ends up motivating everyone involved

This is the new millenium. Not the 1980s or 1990s. It's time to grow up and not drink on the job, not shove a tequila bottle in an employee's mouth, and not shove an employee's hand in your crotch. If you do, you get sued. And sometimes a disgruntled employee has perfectly good reasons for being disgruntled.

I'm not trying not to side with either side, but I'm with the majority of posters to lean toward the side of Jane Doe that this type of behavior is still on nightclub management.

one of the biggest reasons, and this is hearsay is that she left and applied for another job and that LG gave her either a bad reference, a not rehireable status or someone knew the person doing the hiring and said stuff on the downlow. Once you accuse a nightclub of wrong doing, you kinda get black listed. Like i said, more will come out about this than is coming out now. I will assume that moose will be let go and this will be settled out of court

yeah too much service oriented jobs that all intertwine between companies in vegas it seems, i am sure alot of the execs at most strip casinos know each other so makes it kinda hard, guess we will see how it plays out in court.

The allegations of sexual harassment are unfortunate and obviously very serious.

However, the allegations of drug use and alcohol consumption on the job are somewhat comical. It's one of the top nightclubs in Las Vegas. Does this come as a surprise to anyone?

sure it is Vegas, but generally speaking:

most successful long term businessmen are not coke snorters or regular coke snorters especially with their very low level employees......it tends to bring on things like blackmail, allegations of sexual harassment, rape and drug abuse

even if it is going to happen "in the club" in Vegas again it is not the brightest idea for high level management to be one of the biggest participants in snorting it up especially with low level employees

and even if "Vegas" wanted to over look it the fact is that in the past it has been made pretty clear by Nevada alcohol licensing authorities, casino licensing authorities and casino management that letting your coke snorting (even by just patrons) and your rolling on X (or E or whatever the cool kids call it these days) and your other abuses of the entire gamut of whatever you can steal from grannies medicine cabinet get out of control in your club will bring the heat down on you......easily verified when the slummy paris hilton let her coke get found just after leaving a club with her at the time partner in loserdom and he was fired from his higher level job at the club post haste

not to mention that MGM CET and others have licenses they actually care about and or are trying to obtain in other cities and states that are not going to be near as easy going as Las Vegas, Nevada might be about letting a bunch of coke snorting abusers run your major club venues for you

and getting too the point that you have multiple allegations and one or more lawsuits going against your very high level management is not keeping things under control even in Vegas

and lastly Casino companies are about as loyal as a wild jackal and clubs are all about the latest and greatest so having a reason to get rid of yesterdays front page legal issue news and the massive investment THEY made in building a venue in your club and bringing in tomorrow's legal issue headlines to build an even bigger more expensive venue and pay even higher rent comes easy when you have allegations in court cases about your current club management snorting coke and groping waitresses
