I wasn't sure if Westgate was running their own casino (I didn't think so since I doubt that Westgate or David Siegel could get a gaming license - because of the fact that they're both so slimy) so I looked it up and it turns out that Paragon Gaming is running both the casino and the hotel.

I stopped by on Wednesday for awhile and thought it interesting that they wouldn't even spring for Westgate name tags for a number of employees who still had LVH nametags on. The buffet wasn't open on Wednesday ("Come back on Thursday!"); must of been they didn't want all that business available on Veteran's Day when all of the other buffets in town giving discounts or free meals to veterans were swarmed.

And.......they got rid of the famous murals in the casino men's room over the urinals (of women laughing & pointing)...it must have offended David Siegel...I think it was still there in the LVH days...

They had a $5 Ultimate Texas Holdem table open so I played for an hour for the hell of it. No Progressive bet at their table. I was down $200 and about to quit but I won a hand on my last $20 and built it up to about $175 before I quit and got the hell out of there.

There were plenty of timeshare weasels on the way to the North Tower exit but since I didn't have my wife with me, I didn't have to worry about them bothering a single guy....thank god.

Sad to see that property go down so far. I used to stay here often in the 90's on business and always found a bit of time for the casino.
