I'll be there next week and it looks like the temps will be upper 70's for the highs. Is that chilly, or what? I'm from FL and upper 70's here can be either long or short sleeve weather with the humidity and all. Any experience with this?

I guess it depends on what you're used to and what you prefer... I live at Lake Tahoe and upper 70's is HEAVEN!!! Generally speaking, almost no humidity in Las Vegas, so likely will be cool for most in the evening with lows in the 50's. My guess is, absent humidity, it will seem colder to you than the same temps at home.

Thanks for this info. I needed to ask that question as well. Probably will be even cooler in the casinos. I always freeze in them even in the hot summer.

I remember going out around 5:30 one morning to run the strip and it was in the 70's. Felt amazing while I was running and seems like a nice crisp feeling before I started as well. I'm thinking I'm going to need long sleeves the whole time & that probably effectively ends my hopes at morning recoveries by the pool lol

it will be nice and crisp in the mornings, but warm in the afternoons. and then it will get cool again in the evenings. with the dry air, the temp is mitigated unless you're in direct sun. I doubt you'll want to spend any time at the pool. honestly I think the weather is going to be perfect next week, I'm very excited personally.

Was there last December for 8 days the week before Christmas and the day temps were in the upper 60's and lower 70's and it was just great. In fact we went to the Paris pool from 11:00 until 3:00 pretty much everyday. You will need a light jacket during the evening and night time because it did chill down to the lower 50's.

    Is 70 chilly to you?

For me anything over 72 is hot!

To others, anything under 75 is cold/chilly.

Not sure how to answer this.

Being from the east coast, the humidity is my wildcard.
79 is certainly not chilly, but 70 can be and that's with high humidity. With 79 being the high point (or less) for the day, I personally think given the low humidity, It will likely be necessary that I'm wearing long sleeves or even more, the closer to the morning/evening hours...maybe all day lol Either way, I'll pack for both. Not really a big deal. Just find myself posting about random things the closer the trip gets haha
