    Trips to Las Vegas:

Hello! I've been reading this board for a while, but now I'm starting to have questions about my trip to Vegas.

I am not a regular traveler. My idea of "travel" is a 3 hour drive to work as a volunteer for a kid's sport's tournament. That's been my idea of vacation for the past 26 years. So I'm not only new to Vegas, but traveling in general - and oh geez, I'm going to have to buy some luggage! I'm used to carrying a beat up duffle bag with "All Stars" written on it. I have not flown in a plane in over 20 years - eek.

But for the first time, me and hubby are going to Vegas for our very first *real* vacation. We are going to "SOE Live" a gamer community gathering. We'll be meeting up with people we have known for nearly 10 years, but have never met.

Looking forward to soaking up more knowledge from everyone here.

Welcome to the board. You can learn loads from the people here. One thing that is nearly mandatory - Share a trip report when you get back home. Good luck to you.

I agree with getting the cheap luggage.

Thanks for the link to the TSA rules.

Anyone else with general travel related tips/tricks?

    I
I second this., My first time traveling I purchased an expensive set of luggage only to have them lost and finally returned to me broken open and banged up. Relax, have fun and I'm positive you're going to have a good time.
