Hey guys, so I'm hoping to get over to the Smith Center to see a play while I'm there in November. Yep, I'm a theater geek. :woohoo:
Does anyone know if the Smith Center is walkable from Fremont St (specifically Golden Gate)? I mean, I know it is less than a mile, but I'm curious if there are any road or traffic obstructions that prevent a person from getting there on foot.
Any info welcome and thanks in advance!

It's absolutely walkable from Fremont Street. I've gone to several shows at Smith Center while staying downtown, and have walked there every time.

At the intersection of Main Street @ Ogden Avenue (where The California Hotel & Casino is) you'll walk on Ogden Ave (through the tunnel). Follow that sidewalk as it curves around and intersects with S City Parkway. Turn left onto S City Parkway, and walk along S City Parkway for a few minutes and you'll wind up at Smith Center. Total time is about 15 minutes.

You could also go further down Main Street, through the parking garage and take the overpass over the tracks. We did this last year from the Golden Nugget. You come out by the parking lot towards the rear of the Smith Center.

If you expand the map above you can see the parking garage directly opposite the Smith Center.
