Has anyone else found the strip to just be too much of a Hodge podge to get from a to b? So much backtracking and off course maneuvers. Almost seems like a maze sometimes

It isn't the easiest to navigate, especially if you're trying to cross from one side to the other. But I still love it. The sights and sounds are more than enough to draw me back to it everytime.

Walking the Strip is one on my favorite things to do. My wife has problems walking now so I don't get to do it often enough.

I guess I've done it so long navigating is not an issue for me.

Yes it can be somewhat of a task but once you know the ins and outs you can get through quickly...except when you are behind the slowest group ever who walk 6 across and 6 deep while pushing 3 double strollers...ok an exaggeration...well maybe not lol

I love walking the strip, always see something new

Yes! Every time I find myself walking by city center it feels like a never-ending, grueling death march of walkways and stairs, and just when you think you can see the end, nope, big ole' detour up and around another walkway.

If I wanted to feel out of shape while in Vegas, I'd bring my skinny pants.

At this point i know the vegas strip like the back of my hand. You could drop me off blind folded at the riviera and I will still find my way to the luxor. When I first started going, I thought it was confusing. That was like 2008 though.

Spot on with that, it's like your taking a detour when you have to walk round there

It also feels like it will never end. We only did it once, never again lol. We kept thinking we would finally come to the end only to find another set of stairs or walkway. Took a heck of a long time. Stupid thing was if only we had turned right when we got out of MC we would have avoided it all. I didn't think we could go straight across there because there were no people like at all the other walkways and it was not so obvious

Always hated it and now that I have a knee issue, hate it even more. About the only time I can put up with the hustle on the strip is between sunrise and say 10 AM. If I have to walk more than 3 casinos away, I'll take my car or the bus.

Carnaval Court used to be a real rat maze.

I love to do night-time photo walks on the Strip. However, on a recent trip I bypassed the whole City Center area by just taking the shuttle from Bellagio to Monte Carlo.

It was a lot easier "back in the day" when you could just do a straight shot down the sidewalk without going up, over, left, right, down, etc... But of course crossing the streets was risking your life too (literally).

One of our trips last year was my girlfriends first so we took one day and walked the strip (only to Wynncore). we didn't go into every casino but it was fun for her to see them all for the first time. I enjoyed it too, I hadn't done that in a long time.

  13. It is, but that's part of the fun for me. I love taking in the atmosphere(s).

My first trip was while I was on temporary duty to Nellis AFB in the mid 70's. A guy I was with wanted to visit all the strip casinos one night so we walked up and back. He collected match books from each casino. There were some vast open spaces between some casinos and traffic was nothing like that today.

It was much quicker/easier back in the day before bridges and escalators.

I love walking it-the atmosphere is amazing. I have walked from Circus Circus to the Flamingo in June once. I thought about taking the bus but the traffic was terrible-that was in 2000. I stopped at the Fashion Show Mall to rest. It is good exercise and a great way to burn off the buffet.
