I was just browsing the Bravo Poker app and at approx 9:30pm Vegas time its showing 173 people on the 1-3 waiting list and 125 people for 2-5 at Aria. I realize the WSOP is going on and there is an influx of poker players in town but are these numbers accurate? How in the world are you supposed to get a seat?

Probably. Weekends during WSOP are usually like that. One of their daily tournaments starts at 7pm and usually pull over 100 entrants with re-buys for first 2 hours so thats 10 tables right there. Only 24 in the room. Get some sleep and come back at 8am and play the folks that have been awake all night. Should have better luck getting a seat.

Also you don't have to play at Aria either. Aria will probably have one of the worst waits. But 1/2 and 1/3 nl will be at many other, not so busy, casinos.

Also the Colossus Event is going on, so that's making it a LOT worse. Bravo is looking pretty bad tonight too. Only two people waiting at TI though...lol

Every poker room in the city has been at capacity since WSOP kicked off. If you're not waitlisted consider yourself lucky.

Man - I really should have played poker over Mother's Day weekend when I was there. It's been a long time and was planning to play this next trip, but probably going to be a bit harder to get in this weekend...

Wait lists were super crazy mostly due to the Colossus WSOP tournament. The WSOP poker area at the RIO had no room for cash games due to the 20,000 Colossus entries in the 4 flights over two days so those looking for cash games had to move to the strip poker rooms. Wait lists were so jammed at strip poker rooms that many smaller rooms cancelled their small daily and nightly tournaments to accommodate cash games. Big games were breaking out at places that never run them, like a 5/10 game at Bally's. Crazy poker weekend.

Planet Hollywood was packed last weekend. $2/$5 was wide open as we only had 5 at the table at one point on Sunday while tons were waiting for 1/3.

This weekend (sat) at planet hollywood wasn't a bad wait in early afternoon, 5 deep and they opened another table eventually. Not sure how bad it was at night though. If you're diamond, be sure to point it out to them to get bumped up the top of list (at CET props)
