    My Trip Report

Was in Vegas briefly for business and had a free day so I decided to walk the strip hitting every casino, starting from my home base, the Wynn. The plan was to put $100 in single line dollar DDB at each casino, quitting when I either lost the $100 or was up $50. Surprisingly, I ended up ahead about $400 for the day. And I was surprised at how long it took, I started at about 9:30 a.m. and didn't get back to the Wynn until about 7:30 p.m. I did take a break at Aria for a slice of pizza, a dogfish head IPA, and some gelato, all courtesy of MyVegas. Here are the details:

    Palazzo: + $275 (quad Jacks)
    Venetian: - $100
    Casino Royale: - $100
    Harrah's: - $100
    O'Shea's (bartop): - $100
    Quad: + $275 (straight flush)
    Margaritaville: - $100
    Flamingo: + $110 (quad 9's)
Cromwell: - $100 (first time there - nice)
Bally's: - $100 (first time there also - not so nice)
    Paris: - $100
    Planet Ho: - $100
MGM Grand: - $100 (tried to play Lion's Share but there was a line)
Tropicana: - $100 (first time there, not impressed, except for stained glass ceiling)
    Mandalay Bay: - $100
    Luxor: - $100
Excalibur: - $100 (haven't been there in years, looks like they improved the casino floor somewhat)
    NY NY: - $100
Monte Carlo: + $220 (quad Jacks)
    Aria: = + $255 (quad 4's)
    Cosmo (Book & Stage bartop): + $310 (quad 2's)
    Bellagio: - $100
    Caesars: + $240 (quad 8's)
    Mirage (bartop): + $335 (dealt quad 2's)
Treasure Island: - $100 (first time there, meh)
    Encore: - $100
    Wynn: + $328 (quad 9's)

Very fun way to spend the day, though I was drunk and tired when I returned. Cheers!

What a cool idea, and nice that you came out ahead.

    Sounds like you have fun.

The wife and I tried a Strip bar-top video poker crawl during our last trip. We started at MB with poor bar service, we don't care for Luxor so we jumped to Excailbur where the bar service was wonderful, the crawl ended here. Fun night.

Wow, great results with 2700 bucks at risk. Interesting that you didn't grind up to +50 anywhere to quit, but got premium hands to lock in all of your wins. Did you keep track of where had the best and worst pay tables for $ DDB?

Didn't keep detailed track, but was able to find 9/6 or 9/5 at most places at the dollar level.

I'm a little surprised by that too, a couple of full houses in short order could definitely get you in the +$50 range.

    It was a nice comeback!

And for it taking 10 hours...you played at 27 casinos, so sounds about right to me.
