What is the most popular vodka used by bars? I'm guessing its a cheaper brand.

Is it hard to get chopin potatoe based? Would I have to pay more?

Also do the local convenience supermarkets carry it? Can I grab a bottle somewhere near the aria?

Totally depends on the bar. Nicer places will default to something like a Stoli or a Grey Goose, others will have Svedka or Smirnoff in the well, and still others will have something that's normally sold in a plastic jug. I expect most decent bars should have it, Chopin is definitely a call brand, so if it's a place that has cheaper options, then yes, you're going to pay more, just like you would if you were asking for Stoli or Goose. Liquor stores should likely have it.

On a related note, if you're a vodka person, I'd check out Red Square at Mandalay Bay. They have, for example, three kinds of Chopin on the menu -- potato, wheat, and rye.

Also, the Walgreens/CVS whatever on the way from the airport to Aria (think it's on Harmon?) has it...

I love Chopin btw, hands down the best martini vodka of the "big names"...

Depending on the bar or casino you go to. I usually attempt to order Belvedere if they have it. Also, I think that Bellagio Petrossian (sp) Bar has a Vodka tasting. I know Red Square also has vodka tastings.
