My wife and I were dining with my brother and his wife Saturday night at Redwood (Cal). Anyway half way through dinner my wife pokes me and says the guy at the other table has one of your green VMB wristbands on.

I wave a few times to get his attention and point to my green VMB wristband. I mouth out VMB? He yells back, organ donor. Oops! From a table away, it looked identical.

We did run into VMB member TY and his wife at Boar's Head, both of us wearing our green VMB wristbands. We have met before so it wasn't totally the wristband, but still always nice to see VMBers in Vegas.

Note to Sonya. I don't know if you ever made a decision on a color change to the wristbands, but this was my point in a post last year when you threw out a feeler about changing colors. There are so many wristbands for so many causes, that the VMB color should be consistent, even if the organ donors have the same color. :evillaugh Just my .02.

LOL! Okay, you figured out my secret. All of you VMB wristband wearers are now officially organ donors. You're welcome. ;)

Wait, but the new wbs have gold sparkles. Do the organ donors have sparkles?

You have to watch the whole thing before it gets to the "point", but this guy is a hoot!

Okay, I'm finally confident enough that I won't be banned. I think my demerits are low enough. I want a wristband. How?

You know....I just ordered one...now I'm afraid to approach anyone thinking they might be an organ donor instead. I try to make my life easier and there is always a snag..ugh

Don't worry about it. If you do happen to run into an organ donor, just congratulate them on their sacrifice and generosity. I've got my driver's license checked for organ donation, but if that happens, I'll be dead, or close to it.

Or, will be it the hooker in Vegas and the bathtub filled with ice when they harvest my kidney? :evillaugh Old urban myth.

Do you really need that 5th beer, look at what you're doing to your kidneys!

Never heard of an organ donor wristband, my authorization is on my drivers license.

Just guessing now, but maybe he donated a kidney to someone in need? I've been flagged twice as a candidate for a bone marrow donation, but both times, after they did further testing, I didn't match.

Maybe if I matched, I'd have two green wristbands? :wink2:

Looks like it is an organ donor awareness campaign

By the way, what's better than roses on the piano?
    Tulips on the organ.

Ba, da, dum....you've been a great audience, don't forget to tip your server.

Not just in Vegas, anywhere you travel.
Don't worry, they usually only takes one.

It could be worse than an organ donor Joe. What if it meant you were open to types of debauchery that YOU REALLY WEREN'T OPEN TO?
