Have free tickets offered with my MGM summer offer is it worth seeing?
I know I would not pay but since its free might be worth it.

I saw it back in March and so hoped everyone was wrong. sadly everyone was right it was not very good. I saw so many place they could improve it but alas I am so glad I got to see it before it ended. Two more Cirque shows and I will have seen them all really resisting Believe... Free is good

IMO Viva Elvis IS worth paying for. There are many threads on this, but basically Viva Elvis is not as Cirque-y as the others.

    Enjoy it!

I'm in the minority but the wife and I enjoyed the show and would see it again if it wasn't leaving. Got bored with KA and left early during Zummanity.

If someone was not an Elvis fan, would there be ANY reason to see this show? (Asking because I can get free tickets, and that's where we're staying)

I can probably answer my own question - as I would rather be enjoying a good show, a good meal, or GAMBLE in the evening (and I am not sure this would come close enough to a "GOOD" show).

BTW - "Good" in my book would be Love, Jersey Boys, Phantom, Absinthe...

This is not a good show. It's lame, pedestrian, a waste of valuable Vegas time. There's a very valid reason why it's the first-ever Vegas Cirque show to close, which is even more awful when you realize that it's the newest one there.

i'm not an Elvis fan, but i liked the show. i honestly don't get why there's such a loud voice of criticism for it. sure, once you've seen it once it's not like you want to go back, but i thought it was a good show and was glad i saw it.

We had been looking forward to seeing this show -- we were there in Vegas when it was just about to open and were so sad we couldn't see it then. So when we went this past January, we got tickets. They actually upgraded us and we found out why that night -- the theater was pretty empty. But we enjoyed it. It was fun. I was kind of disappointed in the costuming, I think. It wasn't as glitzy or as "special" as I expected. But we enjoyed the music and the show overall.

The band cooks but the show itself is weak. That's speaking as an Elvis fan, too. We had great seats for the show, but it wasn't that good. Love is so much better.

It's ok. For free It'd definitely go. It's not quite as acrobat-y as the other Cirque's. I went like 2 years ago, and we got a spectacular deal, we all enjoyed it. I think my parents more than I did.

    Viva was fun

We had the same opinion on Viva Elvis, it was entertaining.

Viva is not the Typical Cirque-du-Sleppy, with interpertive dance moves & random/pointless object art.
That require a 20 min dissertation, after the show to explain the existentialism of a scene.

Viva brushes some patriotic themes, that might not be so popular with the hate America crowd, as it might make them feel uncomfortable.

I miss the days of Don Rickles ripping a heckler to shreds & making me laff till tears rolled,
or taking Las Vegas 1st timer friends to Blue Man group, and walking out feeling alive!

    Oh well /tissue

Staying at Aria ourselves, but LOVE is our fave so we'll skip Elvis.

Anyone know about the replacement show's premise? I believe the new show begins later in the year.

HERE is a link that was posted in early March. It's slated to open Nov. 8 (this year).

I'm glad that we got the opportunity to see Viva Elvis before it closes. If I was in Vegas again before the closure, I might go again if I got a freebie or a good deal, too. The new show looks like it's a suitably "weird" Cirque show! I'll look forward to seeing it some day.

I'm going to vegas in MidMay, any ideas where I can get cheaper tickets? I wished the Summer deal started now! The best I found were 25% off from SmarterVegas.

My wife is just this side of "anti-Elvis". We both enjoyed the show. If you are new to Vegas or can only see one show, then this might not be it.

More of a documentary than a Cirq show. But, worth seeing.
