I have a 7 nite trip booked in Feb with the last three nites at Caesar's Palace, but I see there is a deal on at Venetian and Palazzo.....I have never stayed at either, and thought it would be a nice surprise for my girlfriend to spend the last bit of our week there instead of Caesar's......What is the difference between the Venetian and Palazzo, any recommendations between the two?

I prefer the Palazzo due to the casino being much better laid out. You can walk around much easier. Rooms are basically the same but casino is better.

The rooms are pretty identical- in most cases the only real difference is the half wall/ rail the separates the sleeping area from the sitting area. At Venetian it's a rail, at Palazzo it's a ledge you can actually put stuff on.

I personally prefer Palazzo because room elevator access is super easy. The casino is more quiet, less busy, and more space between machines.
If you are part of the younger crowd, you may prefer Venetian. It's much busier and lively, lots of machines where it almost feels a wee bit crowded. Just be careful- the Venezia tower is a killer to walk to from anywhere. I'm sure you could request a room Not in that tower if the vibe at Venetian is preferred!

    Have fun!

I'm part of the older crowd who prefers the Venetian (likes the coffee better at the bottom of the elevator on the casino floor!), prefers the Venetian casino, and thinks the decor is prettier. But really, it doesn't matter. It takes less than five minutes to walk between the two properties. The rooms themselves are similar enough but agree to avoid the Venezia tower unless you're trying to get your 10,000-step allotment over with fairly early in the day.

IMHO, if you're driving, the Palazzo is better because in the self park garage, you can park relatively close to the elevators, which is close to the room elevators.

I haven't stayed in the Venetian in the past 5 years, each trip (2 x a year) has been Palazzo.

Another vote for Palazzo. Room is slightly better and as mentioned no rail makes a nice shelf at Palazzo. Tons of elevators and easy access to parking garage right below the casino. Strip view is not worth it at Palazzo unless you want to stare at TI, we like the golf course view. Also, if can get a really high floor, like 45-49, you'll be higher than Wynn.

I go with the lower price if there's a difference. Otherwise it's the Palazzo. My wife says it's a shorter walk to the pool.

We have stayed at both, loved the rooms at both. For whatever reason we felt more luxurious at Palazzo. *shrug*

Not that you really need another vote, but.. I would choose Palazzo as well. To me, the hotel itself seems to have a more traditional luxury feel than the theming of the Venetian, and the Casino is without a doubt less crowded. Agree with other posters too, I wouldn't waste money on a strip view, I would ask for a golf course view.

Agreed about what people wrote about Palazzo but Venetian seemed to have the restaurants I wanted (and the food court was closer there).

Does each property have its own sports book or do the two share one? Thanks. :peace:

The Palazzo has a mini sports book in the Casino where you can place bets. But, there is no seating nor does it have banks of screens. Lagasses stadium has a sports book.
