Coming out in early February for a conference. The home hotel of the conference is the Venetian.

Cost will not be an issue. I have stayed frequently at the Mirage and really enjoy the atmosphere, rooms, etc. I'm only a Pearl MLife member so the loyalty doesn't mean a whole lot to me. I have never stayed at the Venetian.

    Thoughts?

If work is paying - go Venetian.

I agree - stay at the Venetian. It has everything you need right on the property. Great restaurants, great service, great gambling (if you're winning!). The rooms are large and it's linked up with Palazzo so you don't even have to step foot outside to go to "another" casino. There's a Walgreen's on-site and other shops, too. It's a 5-star resort and, IMO, lives up to that rating.

If you can get the Palazzo for the same price choose that. I found it to be a nicer room. Either way, Venetian >>> Mirage.

You need to confirm - is Venetion the "home hotel" or the hotel where the actual convention is at. Big difference.

I'll pile on: if cost isn't a concern, Venetian in a heartbeat (Palazzo's even better, IMO, and usually the same price). V/P just has more of...well, everything.

While I like Mirage, the only reasons I would choose it would be if I were a "loyal" (God I hate that word as it relates to casinos/customers...as if either is actually loyal:rolleyes2:) Milf patron or a die hard BJ player and not willing to leave the premises.

Both, essentially. The conference is in the Sands Expo Center. The Venetian is the hotel where rooms are blocked.

Seems like a consensus. Venetian it is. Thanks, all!

Yeah I am a total Mirage fanboy but have stayed at The Venetian a couple times too - they are much better than the Mirage
