Hi all. We'll be heading to LV in Jan and haven't been in 2 years so no comps or specials.

We generally stay at Venetian or Palazzo but I'm thinking of trying a newer hotel like Cosmo.

Spouse is there for convention at LVCC so he prefers somewhere within walking distance to monorail. Generally he walks from Palazzo to Harah's station. Trying to talk him into Cosmo but am unsure of the walk and time frame.

    So my questions are:

Is Cosmo along the same lines as V/P room wise? (Venetian is almost $80 cheaper than Palazzo for our dates for some reason) Gambling isn't an issue of where we stay as we generally meander and gamble anywhere.

I'm looking for a nice room, good location and not a giant trek to monorail. Does Cosmo fit the bill?

If we choose Venetian can you tell me if the Venezia Tower is worth the price difference? I've read yes and no but the reviews were older.

    Thanks in advance.

From what I understand about the Venezia tower, you will need to walk for what seems like forever to get there. I'm not sure the Cosmo is near the monorail because I think it is on the other side of the strip from Cosmo. The V/P is really nice however, rooms are big enough to park a Buick in.

I LOVE the Cosmo--more than V/P. But many complain that Cosmo is full of too young wannabes (I have never noticed this--we are mid40s). I also prefer the more central location of Cosmo.
Looking at photos, both have gorgeous rooms--Cosmo more contemporary, V/P more European luxury.
I'd say the walk is a bit further to the monorail from Cosmo. Palazzo is further to Harrahs than V, but V is just on the other side of Casino Royale from Harrahs. But Cosmo is right across the street from Paris--so not MUCH further.
If you stay at V/P YOU will have to walk further to everything. If you stay at Cosmo, DH will have to walk a bit further to monorail. I'd say since you are on your own, YOU should decide which you prefer.
A Terrace Studio is 620 sq. ft. at Cosmo--and has a BALCONY! A V suite is 660 sq. ft. So size is comparable. Either way, I don't think rooms or casino will disappoint.
    Have fun!
