I didn't have a lot of points to spend, the benchmark (I use the amount of points =$100 gift card or free play as my benchmark) was 57,500 points, which I thought was a lot.

Still, there were the looky-lous. the FOB mother/daughter in front of us waited 30-45 minutes to redeem 7,800 points! (About $13.00 worth)

There are/were gifts at the lower end of the spectrum (pens for 1,300-1,700 points), and I manages to make my total out, leaving ony 24 points as change.

I got a gift card, a gift for my casino host, and (yes) some pens. The Thank you gift was a pen set.

I'm going down next week for the mLife HGS at the Bellagio. My MGM Grand host was encouraging me to go to the gift kiosk at MGM Grand, but I told her that I wanted the "total experience", especially I'm only down for a day to spend my points..

It was a three day trip with a non-gambler (my cousin). TR to follow.

We went into the extravaganza expecting to come home with maybe a coffee mug. Ended up with a couple of Harry & David gift cards, stocking stuffers (flashlights, snack mix, etc.) AND a coffee mug.

    Score!

I didn't realize there is a kiosk at the MGM Grand for HGS. Did your host mention where it was located? I never saw it last year and that would save me a lot of time!
