Hi everyone I am planning on a Vegas trip on September and will be planning to stay at V/P, I am wondering which is the better hotel room wise. I know their layout is the same and Palazzo is the newer hotel, but the person that was booking for me told me Venetian was recently renovated. I am wondering was Venetian recently renovated and which hotel is better?

    Thanks!

I've stayed at both and would say Palazzo. Rooms not too unlike, but it seems a lot more foot traffic in the Venetian. Easier to get around in Palazzo and if you want to head over to the Venetian, it's a short walk.

I prefer Palazzo. It's quieter and easier to get around. If you have a car, the parking garage is EASY and convenient. I am also 54 years old, so prefer it to be quieter.

Palazzo. It is nicer, more space, better food and nicer sportsbook. The venetian smells like cheap glade plug ins too, i think this is the default of all of the casinos with a few years on them, they each have their own tropical blend made for them.

Thanks for the preferences, usually I pick Palazzo over Venetian but my host told me Venetian was recently renovated and that is what tempting me to stay at Venetian side. I think I might stay at Palazzo instead unless someone knows something about the Venetian renovations. Thanks again!

Palazzo. The rooms may be laid out the same, but they certainly aren't the same. Venetian has a railing between sections which is useless, while Palazzo has a low marble-topped sill which functions as a table for all your crap. Venetian also doesn't have drawers. Just shelves in the dresser! Silliest thing I've ever seen. Probably cuts down on the stuff left behind, but I really don't need to be looking at my underwear when watching TV from the bed.

For the record I too have stayed in both. Twice at Palazzo and once at Venetian. Venetian was completely renovated while Palazzo was under construction. This is the most recent renovation that I know of, and a very good and much needed renovation judging from the photos I've seen. Old rooms had tube TV's and was very traditional in its decor. The new rooms got rid of all of that and are more modern and sleek. However, the Palazzo is far more modern with less theme and more posh, such as a marble topped divider between the bed area and sunken living area in the Palazzo rooms rather than an iron railing used in the Venetian rooms.

I'd pick Palazzo for the same reasons mentioned above. The rooms are sleek and stylish, compared to Venetian's more traditional side of Italy. Both rooms are still very nice. I believe the Palazzo rooms are a but larger but I couldn't tell in person. Also, you can score a higher room at the Palazzo if that is what you desire. I was able to get a room on the 64th floor my last visit to Palazzo, which was overlooking the entire structure of Venetian and had a great view of the Strip facing south.

Don't mind comparing the pools since you have access to both while staying on the property.

    Another vote for Palazzo here.

I liked the counter top separating the bedroom and living room and also liked that it is smaller and quieter.

I also prefer the Palazzo.. Quieter casino then Venetian and love the Laguna bar and staff. Like the windows in the Palazzo (larger),love the pools at the Palazzo and the less crowded feel there.

They are literally the same (close enough). I like Venetian.. I like the amenities and restaurants over there, and it's closer to stuff on the strip. But yea, the casino at Palazzo is nice. Ultimately, when you get one you get both... just look at the amenities and decide which side you want to be on. I mean to walk from the front desk at Venetian to front desk at Palazzo could take a half hour haha.

I'd pick Palazzo just because it's a little closer to Wynncore and it is newer. Anything you could want in Venetian is just an indoor walk away. I'm sure you'll be fine with either.

Palazzo rooms are nicer for the price. Poker room is in Venetian which is why I am staying there. Better budget food is in Venetian as well.

Another Palazzo vote here. Very easy to get to any location in the V/P complex, or out to Wynncore.

Loved the room I stayed in earlier this year, and the Palazzo staff was all great.

Back in the day when the comps were flowing at the V/P, we twice stayed at the Palazzo and once at the Venetian. With those three limited visits, I too conclude the Palazzo was our favorite of the two. Both are beautiful properties, wish they were a little more liberal with the offers to the low rollers but I guess they are doing fine without us...lol

I stayed at both but it was before Venetian was renovated. I preferred Palazzo by far. The Venetian room felt tacky to me. I also preferred being on the Palazzo side, it felt less busy.

Palazzo is an easy pick for me.
    ..Much easier self parking
..Hotel is taller than V with shorter hallways. I like a room in the 900 wing which are all close to elevators and ice
..Casino is more relaxed and elegant IMO
..You won't get stuck in Venezia tower
