    My Trip Report

Left South Bend, Indiana - Allegiant Airlines. Flights were good and on time!

We travel to Vegas 2-3 times per year. Usually, we always stay at a Harrahs property. Stayed 5 nights at Caesers & 2 nights Rio. We feel we have always been treated fairly by Harrahs and have stayed at most of their properties. We have also stayed at Palazzo, but offers have stopped coming. I understand they are now only catering to highrollers, which we are not.

Usually play penny slots but had very little luck this time. Small wins but quickly donated back to casino. Biggest jackpot was $1100 while playing Wizard of Oz at Rio.

Ate breakfast most days at Harrah's buffet. We both like fresh fruit and juice and seems like this works best for us (especially champagne).

Our favorite restaurants are at the Gold Coast. Ping Pang Pong is great.
The Cortez Room if you want steak, lobster & crab legs. Have always had delicious meals there.

Had prime rib special at Orleans which was very good. Their special was 40% off if points were used. However, when we went to pay they informed us that all their computers had just gone down and we would have to pay cash or by credit card with no 40% discount. We ended up paying cash with no discount which did not make us happy. It seems I recall this happening one other time also. Has anyone else had this problem?

Went to Ellis Island and tried the steak special for the second time and was again disappointed. On a previous trip I had the special and was disappointed with the quality but thought I had just gotten a bad cut. It was the same this time. In fact, it was so stringy I couldn't eat it. My husband and son had different items and were very satisfied with their selection.
Next trip we will go back and have bbq chicken or ribs - the aroma was great! Maybe that will be better. I hesitate to give a negative comment on the steak special because many people, including our friends, have had it & no complaints. I realize for the price it will not be a filet but trying it twice was enough for me.

We do love Vegas and hope to go back soon. Next trip will be to Tunica.

    Hope I didn't bore everyone too badly.

    Hi,
Quality of food is the reason we like Ping Pang Pong. If you like Chinese food, I'm sure you would enjoy this. Everything is prepared in open. Shrimp & chicken are not overcooked. We feel prices are very reasonable.

Restaurant is very busy so if you are looking for a quiet place, this is not for you. I believe they do close between 3 & 5. If you try it, I'm sure you will enjoy it.
