I had a similar list concocted before what I thought would be our 9th Vegas trip last Christmas break. My bride turned that into a cruise after stating she was "sick of Vegas.". She got over that bug and we are on for a getaway to Sin City!

We have the plane tickets purchased and friends lined up to host our trio of minions--I'm not sure they know what they are getting themselves into! We are still narrowing down a few options for hotel. Here's the short list of things I would like to do/accomplish on this trip:

    1) Reconnect with my wife. We work opposite shifts and the few hours we are awake together the minions are underfoot. We need some alone time to talk, to relax, and to take "The Palazzo" to "The Venetian," if you get my drift! :wink2:
    2) Spot at least one VMB wristband--not counting mine!
    3) Gamble!
    4) Try to use some MyVegas rewards while there are still some left!
    5) Try Shake Shack, Ellis Island, and other restaurants I haven't been to yet.
    6) Thunder from Down Under. As I mentioned in another thread: I wonder what severe weather is like in Australia? Perhaps I should bring a raincoat...
    7) Purchase smaller souvenirs so I don't have a backpack stuffed with plush M&M dudes on the plane ride home.
    8) Live, laugh, love with my beautiful bride as we stroll the strip, catch a few shows, and "people-watch."

You will be there a week after I leave. Glad to hear that your wife has gotten over her crazy talk of being "sick of Vegas." Number 8 on your list seems to be the most valuable part of your trip.

I plan to do similar activities when I am in Vegas this coming week.

    1. Connect with someone - hopefully not someone's wife
    2. Spot another person with a VMB wristband and buy them a drink
    3. Gamble
    4. Try the ribs at Ellis Island; a burger at one of the places mentioned in a thread on burgers on VMB; a massive sandwich at Carnegie Deli; Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars (I typically avoid buffets, but I'll go and see how this one is)
    5. Get some specialty M&Ms at their shop
    6. Take lots of pictures, hopefully of the many vices that Vegas has to offer

Richard, looks like I'm going to be there the same time as you. Don't have a wrist band for identification though. :).

If you see someone who looks like a Hillbilly Jim Starter Kit, it's me!

Just booked a room at Bellagio. It will be our first time staying there. We had been debating Flamingo vs. MC, but decided to try someplace new to us for this trip.

That's a great place to re-connect with your wife! Do some people-watching at Petrossian. It's a piano lounge in the casino right next to the registration lobby. Morning coffee at Palio, the one near the hotel elevators, is also great.

Bellagio is a great choice - the conservatory is especially beautiful right now.
Focus on 1 and 8 and the rest of the trip will take care of it itself.
We arrive the day you leave - I'll be wearing my VMB band too, but at Cosmo.

Have an awesome trip with your wife.
