I've never seen anyone post about this 10 part video on Vegas and the mob. I picked it up last year at the Mob Museum. It was about $20. I saw a post about what to watch before you go and I am working on this right now.

This was a 10 part series that basically tells the history of Vegas as played out by the mob. Great scenes, excellent interviews with folks I've not seen in the old Travel channel shows, except Anthony Curtis who shows up a little.

Watching it in prep for my trip and I saw that post. Just surprised it hasn't been mentioned. Or maybe I just turned the Vegas crew onto this killer piece.

I like documentaries and TV shows over movies, so this is what preps me.

Was it really worth the $20?

I saw it at the Mob Museum recently, but I've been burned on really, really bad DVDs in the past (years ago, the Tropicana had a Las Vegas history exhibit that leaned on the mob theme). If you've ever bought this DVD, you know my hesitance to get any DVD from the Mob Museum. It is unwatchable, and I'd try to sell it, but my conscious won't allow it.

Problem is, I ended up talking myself out of every souvenir at the Mob Museum, now I have nothing.

I watched while recovering from my last big surgery. There were a few errors here and there. But, I enjoyed it. I think I got it on ebay or amazon. I don't remember it costing too much.

Yup $1.89 plus $3.99 Shipping for me - $5.87 How can you go wrong at that price?

But the best one I saw so far was John from the UK's labor of love. Not a video, but very well documented.

Not just the mob, but a beautiful history. Took me a lot of sessions to get completely through it, but I'm thinking about doing it again!

I paid $8 for it about a year, it was worth every penny and honestly a bit more.

I finished watching the series, not bad. No reason to keep it, first one to claim the DVD on this thread, gets it.

I will mail it to you, free of charge!
