During the last two years I have seen two "Vegas" shows in Erie, PA.. Elton John came to our town on a Monday evening last year.. He put on a great show that lasted for two hours. The technology was not as awesome as the theater at Caesar's Palace. We have a 7,000 people capacity convention center. Two weeks ago The Australian BeeGees were in our town. Going to Vegas without seeing a show makes no sense to me. I can play at Niagara Falls and have "free" drinks. It would cost me $30 for gas for my wife and I to get there. It would cost me $700 to fly both of us to Vegas. I need to get really pumped about a new Vegas show in order to justify the expense of getting there. I'm so glad that We saw Celine Dion's "A New Day" show several years ago. The singing and the dancing were fabulous. I'm in my early 60's . I like classic rock, country, and other music. I hope to get pumped about a show that would challenge "A New Day".

You can see a lot of Vegas type shows if you live near a casino with a showroom or even a theater that books lower tier shows. Legends in Concert comes through the area at least once a year. Harrah's had Big Elvis on tout a couple years ago. Human Nature did shows here, too. Shows aren't as big of a deal to me but I do try and keep an eye on what comes through the casinos here.
