I am gold and had no problem at all even the night there was a concert at T-Mobile and we parked at NYNY and they wanted $20. There was an attendant that just slid my card in and the gate popped up. The MLife desk did give me two cards when I ask how my Hubs could get in and out if I wasn't with him.

I was told MSS charged for parking due to Fremont street visitors. The open parking across the street is free to emerald/sapphire level members. I have just flashed the card as we drive in and not had a problem in the past. Sometimes the card was expired but the color was correct.

I have updated this list with the latest charges for valet parking for CET Properties, as well as the new parking fees coming in January to Cosmopolitan. I've included links to the hotel parking faq pages for additional information and answers to FAQ's.

Anybody know about parking for the High Roller wheel? I see there's a parking lot on the east side but do you have to pay to park there?

I noticed there is complimentary parking for total rewards members that are platinum diamond and seven stars. I wonder how long it will take them to delete the platinum members that obtain their status Thru the TR visa credit card?

That would be sad if they got rid of free parking for platinum members...

Signing up for the MLife credit card will automatically upgrade your status to Pearl level which entitles you to free self parking. The upgrade of status takes a few weeks after being approved for the credit card.

When you go to an MLife property, go to the MLife desk and request a new MLife Players Card. That new card will be printed and encoded with your updated status.

There are two ways to exit the garage:

    1) Take a ticket at entrance. When ready to exit, go to any of the parking ticket booths near the elevators and insert your ticket along with your MLife Players Card at Pearl level or higher and then your parking ticket will be validated. Use validated parking ticket to exit without any fee.

    2) If you already have your MLife Players Card Pearl Level or higher, simply insert your MLife Players Card at the gate when you enter. The system will automatically take a photo of your license plate. Then when exiting, slowly approach the gate and the system will automatically open the gate for you to exit. No need to reinsert your MLife Players Card.

Let me know if you have any questions.

"As many of you know, Nevada residents have free in and out privileges at the MGM properties"

    Is there an explanation?

There was a grace period for locals, but it ended in December.

Questions about using the MLife credit card to obtain Pearl status for the purpose of free parking:

    1. If I got the credit card, presented it at the players club booth to get upgraded to Pearl and then cancelled the credit card, does that mean I'm no longer a Pearl level players card, and would no longer have the parking benefit?
    2. Another article I read somewhere referred to applying for other cards that come with elevated players card statuses at competing casinos that could potentially be matched. I don't recall which card they were referring to. My question was if this card, or any card with a similar benefit, is available without an annual fee?

    1. "Tiers expire on October 1 each year. Tier Credits earned from October 1 to September 30 qualify you for your tier beginning each October 1. If you advance to a higher tier at any time, you'll enjoy those benefits for at least one full year." -- from the MLife website.

When I signed up for the MLife credit card and went to the MLife Players Booth to get my updated Tier Status card, my card printed with expiration date of Sept 2017. Once it expires and my MLife Mastercard is still active and in good standing, I simply go back to the MLife Players booth to get an updated Pearl card with an updated expiration date of one year later or Sept 2018. Rinse and repeat every year.

So to answer your question: Your mileage may vary YMMV. There is nothing that says that if you cancel the credit card that the MLife Credit Card company won't submit to MLife that you have cancelled it and therefore revoke your Pearl tier status. HOWEVER, my gut feeling is that you should be still good until the date printed on your MLife Players Card.

    2. The other card they are referring to is the Hyatt Gold Passport "Platinum Status" (yes, very confusing) credit card with a $75 annual fee which allows you to match your Hyatt Status to MLife status. Here are some details on the program https://www.hyatt.com/partnerlandingpage/en/goldpassport/mlife.html

The match only good for the first time and only for the current year.
When Oct. 1 comes, all gone and you can't match again regardless your tier with Hyatt.

    I cannot corroborate your statement.

As far as I know, the Hyatt Credit card which comes with Gold Passport Platinum status can be matched to Mlife Gold status for as long as you remain a cardholder in good standing. Reminder: there is a $75 annual fee for the card.

The key is... You may have to RENEW MLife match status every year. So when Oct 1st rolls around, you must have Hyatt contact MLife to match to MLife Gold again. As long as your Hyatt status is Platinum status or higher and good and current, then you should be able to get MLife at match that status on a yearly basis.

Here is a post that reminds people to "renew" their match: http://milesfromblighty.boardingarea.com/2016/10/26/if-you-matched-your-hyatt-status-to-mgms-mlife-its-time-to-renew/

Here's some more evidence showing that you have to call in to rematch every year: http://travelzork.com/hyatt-elites-mlife-downgrade-you/

You are right. M life tier resets every year and you simply re-match your Hyatt status to your m life status in order to bring it up again. This is to prevent folks from canceling the card and keeping their m life gold forever

So, if I read all this right, as of now, CET is only charging valet? So if I stay at one of there properties, I can park my rental car in the garage(non valet) and come and go as I please with no extra charges?

They did valet charges right away. Self parking charges coming, with no specific date yet. But a LVRJ columnist heard the gates would go up in February, so potentially starting to charge in March.

I am crossing my fingers that they don't manage to get things ready until late April, but I'm not optimistic.
