To all participants of the up-coming marathon on Dec.2nd., have a great race and a great time!

I was wondering if any of you can share some information about this event. All I know is that the Strip will be closed to traffic and that it will be run in the evening.

    My questions:

What time will it start? Actually what time will they start closing the Strip?

How bad will the traffic be as far as the side streets, and how far-reaching will this be? I will be staying downtown and want to go to Sam's Town during the day (rental car).

Does the race go thru downtown and where would it be best to watch it in case I don't want to venture out that day?

Any info will be appreciated! Go Vegas Marathoners!!:banana::clap:

Traffic near the Strip and downtown will be at a standstill. That's the nature of any area along the route in a big city during the 8-hour period a marathon is run. Even the inbound ramps at I-15 will be jammed.
Places like Sam's Town and others away from the actual route will be okay.
