Where would you go to see the best display of the 4th fireworks?
    In or around Vegas?
    Thx!

Was there 2 summers ago and there weren't any fireworks on the strip.

Oh and if they wind up not having it, be prepared for a lot of people to not be aware and still clog up the pedestrian bridges and walkways. Took me an hour to walk from MC to the Forum Shoppes that night.

This year July 4th is a Friday so its a pretty good chance a couple of the resorts on The Strip will do fireworks this year (as mentioned above: if July 4th is middle of the week then there might not be any fireworks on The Strip or it will be small localized displays).

As for where to go: even though its a Friday not everybody is going to have fireworks and to that end I'd probably wait until the last week of June and then check the events and entertainment sections of the online newspapers and see who they list as going to do fireworks and then decide from there. IE: if its going to be Caesars Palace and Ti only then being way down at the end of The Strip at the bridge at NYNY or the walkway to MGM Grand isn't going to garner you much of a view at all.

I always recall the photos taken from a distance with fireworks all up and down the strip.......
Heck, maybe It's New Years Eve I'm thinkin' of?

NYE there are plenty of fireworks on the strip, I have never been on the 4th of July so can't first hand confirm they don't do fireworks, but have heard there is either none, or it's small compared to NYE. Keep your ear to the ground for sure would be my advice. Good luck!

I was there last July 4th, 2013. We stayed at Wynn but had been gambling at Bellagio and walked over to Caesars to watch. It was 108 degrees at 9:00pm when the Fireworks started.
We've done NYE in Las Vegas several times and so I can say that there's no comparison to what you will see on NYE. I wouldn't do 4th Of July in Vegas again but I'm glad we did it once.

Thx all, well that puts a wrinkle in that 4th plan, NYE seems like the way to go for the best f/w display! :woohoo:

I really like standing at the top of the garage at Silverton. You can see tons of displays all around you at once. I counted over 30 simultaneous displays.
