There are a lot of new people asking question's about nightclubs in Vegas. How do they work, how much are they, what to wear and so on. Here is what i tell people, but other people will give their 2 cents.

In nearly 20 years of dealing with Vegas nightclubs i have seen clubs, management and host's completely change or go away. What the old Beach used to do compared to Hakkassan is fairly the same. Make money off the door, and move a ton of alcohol.

Almost every club has a guest list, except some on big DJ night's. Such as Hakkassan and Light. There is a difference between guest list line, table service line, general admission line and all girls lines. Not all clubs have these, but the big ones do. If you have bought presale ticket's you wait in the same line as guestlist, and some clubs they do tables, guestlist and ladies in one line and GA in another. Just depends on how many the club holds and how fast lines move.

Guys: typically speaking large groups of guys, get a table. Its much easier and usually much quicker. If you are doing entry, divide up into smaller groups. Clubs dont like doing entry for one group of 20 guys. Get into groups of 2-4, much easier. Also guys, dress to impress, get to clubs at 10 pm to 11 pm at the latest. You will get in much faster than midnight.

Ladies: Beautiful groups of ladies have such an advantage. Some clubs will give you first bottle comped if you do a table or free drink ticket's if just getting entry. most clubs do offer a guestlist/ladies entry line that is much faster than GA.

Table service: Here is how most clubs work table service. They will give a minimum dollar amount, say typical is $1500, most clubs that is 3 bottles with tax and tip. That will also change depending on what you order. Right now Chateau and Pure offer some of the best rates on bottle service as well does Tryst. XS is the top nightclub in the world and they still offer some great prices for the venue.

Club host or independent host: Club's have host's that work for them and they have promoters that basically work for them. Some host's pull 10 tables or more a night while promoters get out and get people in. Some promoters deal with 200-400 people a night. Clubs hosts will vary from club to club. Most of the time dealing with a club host is interesting, but not all club hosts will give you the best deal. almost every person that comes to Vegas and does table service is doing 2 or more nights of it, and that's where independent hosts work well. Independent hosts work closely with several clubs to get you the best deal, some times they can't , sometimes they can. If your planning more than 2 nights of clubs, club hopping or stripclubs and limos, then independent host's are typically better.

Which club is the best on which night: Every club is good on Friday and Saturday night's, the thing is what is your budget and group size. If you have $20 in your pocket and want to roll VIP, better get a 12 pack and drink in the parking lot. The top tier clubs will cost guys $20-100 entry and ladies free to $50, and this is depending on DJ and any event's. The middle/lower tier clubs will run free to $40 for entry. Some clubs will give free drink tickets or open bar till 11 or 12. When you figure out your club's, figure your budget. Higher tier table service will run average $200-300 per person. Lower tier places $125-200 per person, and this is an average not an exact figure. This is why. You pay $40 for entry and $12-18 per drink. i can drink 4-6 drinks perhour so figure how many you can drink per hour and how many hours you will be there. Clubs during the weedays are always doing events and specials, that could influence your weekday partying.

most of the clubs on the weekdays if your staying at the actualy hotel property you can get in free.
just have to poke around if its your room key or a pass that is left in your room(lax) or conceirge , just ask what will work.
